The event starts as most quests do, with a message under the Baker Tasks menu. Perlica will reach out, asking if the Endmin has begun to recall any of their lost memories. With no progress, she requests that they return to Dijiang, beginning Echoes of Then.
Perlica waits beside the Stasis Core, and a cutscene plays where the Endministrator goes as far back into their memory as they can, only to notice a strange flame circle the Protocol Singularity.
This officially begins Let Fire Consume the Past, and pulls you into a mission with a preset lv.40 Endministrator.
Inside the Dream

Endmin awakes in a snowy cave, only to see a red-haired woman deal with an aggeloi. She agrees to lead Endmin out, explaining that the reality they find themselves in is made of memory trapped within Originium.
The two eventually make it to a small, maze-like structure, tasked with finding four memories. To find the memories, use your scan tool to pick up a trail. There’s no order to the memories, so just look for whichever you can find the path for. After finding a few, the rest are marked on in the environment, making it much easier to finish the set.
Once all four memories are collected, you’ll need to use continue scanning to find a hidden memory, leading to a small arena. A burning clone of the woman appears before the two before siccing a pack of aggeloi on them.
The woman sends Endmin on their way, sending them back to the real world without any answers. Soon after, Fiona contacts Endmin, reporting odd fires in Valley IV and unlocking the next quest.

The new quest appears in the Originium Science Park, marked by a burning orange Protocol Space. A staticy outline of the red-haired woman beckons Endmin forward, leaving glowing traces behind.
The path leads to a Long Ear, who leads to the red-haired woman. Scanning reveals her footsteps up a hill and towards a water treatment plant, ending in a newspaper clipping.
Yet another trace leads to a radio to be repaired. Doing so reveals another trace sitting on the edge of a nearby cliff, with a scribbled note left behind. Perlica calls after, finding old notes on a red-haired, fire-wielding woman named Surtr.

She theorizes that the red-haired woman Endmin has been following is Laevatain, a reconstruction of Surtr. Perlica asks Endmin to continue to help Laevatain, unlocking the next quest near the Cradle of the Ages.

Proceeding to the mark on the map leads to another Protocol Space, where an illusion of Rhodagn appears, baffling Endmin. Laevatain arrives to assist in fighting the true aggeloi threat.
Laevatain ruminates on the threat of false memories before recruiting Endmin in her quest for their true memories. Scanning leads to an illusion of Tata under attack, revealing another pack of aggeloi.
Another illusion appears nearby, manifesting as more of Endmin’s fears. Yet another fight, yet another trail of footsteps to scan after. This trail leads to the illusion of Endmin, declaring that the people of Talos-II deserve no salvation.
After the battle, Laevatain and Endmin promise to help each other find their truths before vanishing. Endmin calls Perlica, who advises Endmin to speak to witnesses who may have seen Laevatain. Speaking to them unlocks the next quest in the chain.
The Ashen Past

Perlica awaits on the Dijiang to start the next quest, sending you back through the Protocol Singularity to find Laevatain. You meet her inside a crumbling, shifting facility Endmin seems to recognize.
The memories loop and loop, until a pack of illusions tries to convince Endmin to leave Laevatain behind. Endmin refuses to and helps ground Laevatain before the two see a series of memories from Surtr herself.
Most of this quest is comprised of revisiting these memories, including multiple callbacks to a character from the first Arknights.
The flood of inspiration solidifies Laevatain’s will, and she agrees to join Endfield. The two find themselves in a shattered cityscape of memory, desperate to stop them from escaping. Some simple platforming and quick encounters lead to an elevator swarming with goons.
Enter a short fight with a few groups of generic bandits. At the bottom, Laevatain repeats her vow to keep moving forward, summoning a massive allegoi. This fight is simple, as the giant crab like creature is very vulnerable to attacks from behind.
At points it will ever shore up its front defenses, become immune on that side. Keep strafing it and you shouldn’t have a problem. With another promise, Laevatain joins the crew of the Dijiang, netting the rest of the events rewards!
