In Once Human, Charcoal is an essential resource that you will need to produce yourself to progress in the game. Unlike other materials you can find and gather directly, Charcoal requires a bit more effort to obtain. However, it’s crucial for various crafting recipes and smelting processes, making it a valuable commodity in the post-apocalyptic world. So, how exactly can you get Charcoal in Once Human?

Ways To Get Charcoal in Once Human

To get Charcoal in Once Human, you’ll first need to gather wood from trees and burn it in a furnace. The good news is that any type of tree will suffice for this purpose. Once you’ve collected enough wood, you’ll then need to build a furnace to smelt it into Charcoal.

Crafting a Furnace in Once Human requires specific materials: 20 * Copper Ore and 30 * Gravel. You can find Copper Ore in sulfur deposits, which are recognizable by their distinctive yellow tint. Gravel, on the other hand, can be obtained by smashing stones. After you’ve gathered these materials and constructed your furnace, you’re ready to produce charcoal.

To make the charcoal, simply place the wood in the furnace, burn it and you will get the Charcoal. Remember that you will need five logs to make a piece of Charcoal.

However, it’s crucial to note that Once Human doesn’t hold your hand after the initial tutorial. This means you’ll need to manually collect the Charcoal from the queue menu after it’s been crafted. Many players have accidentally left resources behind by forgetting this step, so make sure to transfer the charcoal to your inventory once it’s ready.

How to Use Charcoal in Once Human?

    • Smelting Ores: You can use Charcoal as fuel in the furnace to smelt ores (like copper or iron) into usable metal bars. These bars are then used to craft various items.
    • Crafting Gear: Include Charcoal as an ingredient in different crafting recipes.
    • Building a Basic Stove: You can use Charcoal to construct a simple stove for cooking food.

So, that’s how you get Charcoal in Once Human. Do check out our other guides on the game like how to complete the Carnival Of Doom quest or A Miracle Chase quest in Once Human.
