Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4’s new Fortnitemares event has introduced some terrifying new faces on the island. Among them, one such unique face is Doja Cat’s, the iconic rapper and singer who has arrived on the island as the Mother of Thorns, a new mini-boss. Besting her in battle will complete quests as well as offer you a brand new Mythic weapon, but first, you need to find her. Ironically, locating her is harder than defeating her, but with this guide, you’ll find her in no time.
Mother of Thorns Location In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4
The Mother of Thorns can spawn around three locations, and each match will have her appear at one of these three locations in the game:
- To the west of Supernova Academy, near the Halloween area
- In the middle of Gourdy Gate
- Near the red barn at the southern end of Freaky Fields
The Mother of Thorns, a.k.a Doja Cat, will spawn in one of these three locations in every match. The place where she’ll spawn next is unpredictable, and you have to take a gamble every match by landing in these locations. You might become lucky and find yourself in the middle of red, glowing, twisted vines with the Mother of Thorns sitting on her throne in the middle of it all.
When you’re close to these three locations, a skull marker will appear on your map, depending on where she spawns. As soon as you notice the marker, head to it to find the Mother of Thorns sitting intertwined between the large vines. Now, all you have to do is defeat her, which is the easiest part of this quest in Fortnite.
Defeating the Mother of Thorns
Taking down the Mother of Thorns is incredibly easy. Aim at her head and use all your weapons to deal the maximum amount of damage in Fortnite. It’s recommended to gear up and loot before you head to this boss fight, since you’ll face not just Doja Cat herself, but also other enemy players trying to do the same thing. Once you’re done taking care of the other players, you can move on to shooting the Mother of Thorns.
She has two bars: a shield bar and a health bar, both of which can be easily depleted if you aim at her head and use all your ammo on her. She has no special abilities or gimmicks that can take you down instantly, but you have to be at a distance, or else she’ll attack you with her melee. On defeating her, she’ll revive as an NPC who can join your party, and you’ll obtain the Thorn Ripper Mythic weapon as a reward.
