Gazorg, son of Zorg, can be a difficult encounter; he is slow, but he hits hard. Some of the moves can be unpredictable. But luckily, the game shows signs or icons to indicate the attack’s beginning state. Here we will show you how you can defeat Gazorg, son of Zorg, in Absolum.
How To Defeat Gazorg In Absolum
Once you reach deep into the Goblin Forest, you will come across Gazorg, son of Zorg. Gazorg serves as the first boss encounter in the run. Since it bears the title of introductory boss, he is not going to be difficult, but you don’t want to underestimate the boss; he has some moves that will catch you off guard.
Dropkick

The battle against Gazorg, son of Zorg, will begin with a roar, and he will immediately launch a drop kick toward your direction. Quickly, move to your side to dodge it. The best way to know this attack is coming is a flashy red star-like icon forming in its chest. Once you see the mark, move out of its way to avoid the damage. Don’t try to land any hit when you see the mark; always attack after the dropkick is over.
Mace Attack

Gazorg will let out a roar, moving his mace to the back of his head, signalling an upcoming slam. Just move to the side to dodge the attack. The last thing you want to do is to attack during his roar. Land some hits after he slams the mace on the ground.
Whirlwind
Gazorg will swing his mace to the side and launch a whirlwind attack. The spinning attack will not last for long, and Gazorg will remain idle in the same location. It is better to save up your attacks after his Whirlwind move is finished. Don’t try to land a hit in the middle of the attack.
Whirlwind Version 2

Once you bring Gazorg’s health down to less than 50%, he enters the second phase. Here, the whirlwind attack gets more devastating. Instead of staying idle, Gazorg will start spinning multiple times, coming in your direction. Once you see the whirlwind attack coming, go towards the opposite direction of the boss, and keep as much distance as possible between you and the boss. The second phase of the whirlwind attack also makes Gazorg sit down for a few seconds after performing it, which gives you a perfect window to land a few blows.
Blowing Horn
Gazorg will blow his horn and call upon the enemies by saying Tree is Hungry. Here, Gazorg will resort to his mace attack, which will land straight in your direction. Best not to stay in the same location, always be on the move, and kill the minor enemies, then you can focus on the Gazorg.
Tips to Defeat Gazorg
- Always attack once Gazorg completes his moveset. Gazorg always takes a few seconds before executing his next attack, be it the Whirlwind or the Mace attack. These are the perfect times to deal some extreme good damage, but not all the time.
- Take advantage of both sides of the screen. If you manage to make him launch into the air on either the left or right side of the screen, he will hit the invisible wall on both sides for you to land additional hits.
- Whenever Gazorg blows the horn, take advantage of the time window and unleash the attack on him. Don’t let it go to waste. After you have landed a few good hits, move on to the smaller enemies.
- Always play defensively during the dropkick and Whirlwind attack. Both of these are extremely dangerous; a drop kick can happen at any time. Look out for the flashing red star icon to predict the move and move to dodge it. The same goes for the whirlwind attack; here, avoid attacking him in the middle of the whirlwind or at the start.
Follow the guide to have an easier time defeating Gazorg in Absolum. The boss has a few attacks, but all of them are slow; you just need to wait until his attacks are over, then you can think about landing a hit. Some of them can show up in an instant fashion, so always be on your guard when you are planning to land a hit against Gazorg.
