The full release of Hades 2 gives us the opportunity to complete several quest lines that were left incomplete during Early Access, and some of these further lead to surprising reveals. One such is the Dissolution of Time quest, and this one requires several runs to obtain rare materials, and leads the path to a ‘True Ending’ in the game. All the action takes place in endgame and after, so be warned of major spoilers!
How To Complete Dissolution of Time In Hades 2

You craft the Dissolution of Time with 5 * Z-Sand and 1 * Entropy. The initial formula will read as 5 Z-Sand and 1 ‘Unknown Material’, which will then, over a period of time during your runs, reveal itself to be Entropy.
Neither of these materials is easy to get. You get 1 Z-Sand (or Zodiac Sand) every time you defeat Chronos. So, this means 5 successful Underground runs to get the first set of resources to craft the Dissolution of Time.
Getting Entropy is more complicated and has its own set of steps. Let’s look at those.
How To Get Entropy In Hades 2
You get Entropy in Hades 2 by first completing the Disintegration of Monstrosity Incantation and then defeating Typhon one final time. The Disintegration of Monstrosity Incantation requires:
- 1 * Z-Sand
- 4 * V-Lens
- 1 * Gigaros
V-Lens is a confirmed drop from defeating Typhon. So, you will need to complete the Surface run successfully and defeat Typhon 4 times to get the required number of V-Lens.
You will need to defeat Chronos one more time (in addition to the 5 above) to get the required Z-Sand for this specific incantation.
You get Gigaros from Zagreus, and, as you may have guessed by now, that also has its own small set of steps. But we are at the end of the long requirements list, so stay with me!
How To Get Gigaros From Zagreus In Hades 2

Interact with Zagreus the very first time you defeat Chronos. You will come across his chambers at the right end of the boss room. Interact with the bed to trigger a ghostly form for Melinoe, and move towards the Mirror of Night.
As you float through space, you will come across Zagreus. He will not trust Melinoe right away. Continue this set of steps every time you defeat Chronos (which you will have to anyway do to get the required materials as mentioned above), and eventually Zagreus will leave the Gigaros weapon at his bed. This happened for me the sixth time I had defeated Chronos.
You are now ready with everything for a final battle against Typhon. Craft the Disintegration of Monstrosity Incantation, and when you defeat Typhon this time, you will get the precious Entropy resource. Return to the Crossroads and you can now finally craft the Dissolution of Time Incantation!
When planning your runs, you may want to look and experiment at the various Keepsakes in Hades 2. It also makes sense to keep an eye out for Soot, another rare end-game material in Hades 2.
