The Ultimate Guide To Keepsakes In Hades 2 : All Locations & Benefits

Among several mechanics that Hades 2 gifts you that aid your chances of surviving a run and making it to the end, one of the important ones is Keepsakes. These grant you a variety of perks and increase the chances of benefitting from that boon appearing during your run. In this article, we run through all the Keepsakes that you can unlock in Hades 2, as well as explaining how to obtain these.

How To Obtain A Keepsake In Hades 2

You obtain Keepsakes in Hades 2 by giving Nectar as a gift to the God. Some of these appear randomly during dungeon runs, and there is no fixed pattern for them. The last thing you want is to run across a God and not have Nectar to hand out, so I highly recommend keeping a few spare Nectar jars when you are out on a run.

    • Approach the God’s sigil, and select the ‘Gift’ option
    • Hand over Nectar – this can be found during your runs in various areas, and can also be purchased from the Wretched Broker
    • You will get their Keepsake in return.
    • The Keepsake will then appear in a cabinet in Melinoe’s room: there are 33 such Keepsakes that you can unlock.
    • The benefits of the Keepsake can be upgraded to up to 3 levels by simply keeping it equipped and completing encounters. These upgrades increase the base effect of that Keepsake by a certain value. So a level 1 Blackened Fleece has your Omega moves deal 20% more damage, for example, while a level 2 upgrade does +30%, and a level 3 upgrade +40% more damage.

Can I Change A Keepsake During A Run?

Initially, you will be able to equip only 1 Keepsake during a run. Once you obtain the Kindred Keepsakes Incantation, you can change a Keepsake after every major boss fight: The cabinet that originally appeared only in Melinoe’s room will become available, allowing you to change a Keepsake after defeating the final boss of that area. The Kindred Keepsakes Incantation requires 2 Moly, 1 Lotus, and 4 Lime.

All 33 Keepsakes in Hades 2

In the list below, we have also put up the effects for each of the Keepsakes across all 3 upgrade levels.
