Borderlands 4 – Gigacore Battery Contract Guide

After unlocking the contract board in Borderlands 4, you get to pick up short contracts that earn you some XP. These contracts don’t take up a lot of time, and completing them helps level up your character. The Trace: Gigacore Battery contract appears randomly while playing the game, and each time you pick it, you need to locate the Gigacore Battery. The location for the battery isn’t marked, so this guide will show you where to find it in Borderlands 4.

How to Complete the Trace: Gigacore Battery Contract in Borderlands 4

Head over to Slugmetal Ditch Ancient Crawler to locate a steel barrel and collect the Gigacore Battery for the contract. To start the contract, you will receive it at the Abandoned Post Safehouse in Fadefields, Coastal Bonescape. Check the contract board from time to time to find the mission from Claptrap. After accepting the contract, make your way to the northern section of the region to find Slugmetal Ditch.

As mentioned in the contract, the battery is seized by Rippers. Defeat them all; it shouldn’t take too long to clear the area. Once that is done, look around to find a large steel barrel. The battery spawns in different places for each playthrough. To know where to find it, keep an eye on the meter on the right side of the screen where the quest is being tracked. Walk around the area till the meter starts to fill up, which indicates that you are close to the quest item.

Bug: Some players don’t have the Gigacore Battery spawn around Slugmetal Ditch, and if this happens to you, just restart your game or reload your last save. Better yet, you could reboot your system and pick up the contract once more; this usually helps have the battery spawn in correctly.

To complete the contract, scan the battery once you locate it. In return, you receive a random amount of XP and a unique interaction from Claptrap.
