For the Cages in the Dark quest in Titan Quest 2, you will come across a Mysterious Door while exploring Fiend’s Hollow. While the quest itself doesn’t require you to unlock the door, you might find curiosity creeping upon you when you get close to it. Unfortunately, the door is locked, and you need to solve a quick puzzle to unlock it. This guide will tell you exactly how to unlock the Mysterious Door in Titan Quest 2.

The Mysterious Door in Titan Quest 2 opens up on lighting three sets of braziers in the right order. To find the Mysterious Door, head over to the Flooded Farmlands map and make your way to Pyrgos Outskirts. You will get to this point if you have the Cages in the Dark quest active, which is picked up from Pyrgos Village. Once you reach the Outskirts, take the path west and it will start curving up north. Follow the path to be led to a cave called Fiend’s Hollow.

Explore the region and fight off any enemies within, soon you will be taken to the Mysterious Door. When interacting with it, the hint that the door gives is that you need to locate a singular brazier, then a set of dual brazier, followed by a set of triple braziers. The triple brazier is located right in front of the door, but you need to locate the other two brazier sets around Fiend’s Hollow.

The singular brazier is located just north of the Mysterious Door. Take the path up north and stick to your right to find it. The second brazier is located to the southeast of the Mysterious Door. You also have to light up the braziers in order, starting with the singular brazier, followed by the double, then finally, the triple brazier.

The braziers within each set is lit in any order, so don’t worry about lighting up the wrong one, as long as you follow the order of 1, 2, and 3 sets of braziers. Doing the puzzle incorrectly will extinguish all the braziers, and you have to start over.

    Unlocking the Mysterious Door

After lighting up all the braziers in order, the Mysterious Door will be unlocked. Head inside and you will spot an NPC called Mopsus. Speaking to him will get him upset with you for unlocking the door and discovering his hiding spot. Besides this, there are two chests to loot within the room that offer random rewards, 2440 EXP and 10 Embers of the Night.
