Besides completing the main story quests, you will also encounter quest items at random while exploring the world of Titan Quest 2. During your journey, you might have picked up the Betrothal Rings, which don’t serve a specific purpose right now. But, this item is tied to a special quest, and you need to find the right NPCs to return the rings to. This guide will detail what the Betrothal Rings are used for in Titan Quest 2.
Betrothal Rings Location and Use in Titan Quest 2
Head over to the Western Flooded Farmlands and explore the region till you get to pick up the Betrothal Rings. These rings are usually spotted around Sophist Chiton, but they also spawn randomly around the region. The Betrothal Rings are tracked if you have the Ancient Embers quest active.
Once you get it, investigate it in your inventory to know who this ring belongs to. The only description you get is that the rings are coated in Sea Salt and blood, so your next location to return the rings would be near the coastline.
Pair of Spirits Location
From the Western Flooded Farmlands, travel to Raiders Landing to the west. This location is in Southern Flooded Farmlands. If you are beside the Sophist Chiton, follow the road west of the stall. Right at the top of the platform ahead are a Pair of Spirits with a golden aura surrounding them. Speak to them and hand over the rings to receive 5,600 XP and 10 Embers of Night.
Collecting the Embers of the Night will start another side quest, where you need to assist the ghosts in reaching Pyrgos and locate a particular NPC. The person in question is marked on the map, so you won’t have a hard time trying to look for them.
Can You Keep the Betrothal Rings?
This item cannot be used on yourself nor sold, since this is a quest item. Also, you won’t find any particular use for it if you do keep it, as you don’t get any additional benefits from equipping the rings. Handing it over will start another quest for the ghosts anyway, which helps you progress through the game’s storyline.
