CFB 26 Mechanics: Lob Pass, QB Slide, Dive Explained

In College Football 26, you need to learn all the right mechanics to help you play the game using your favorite player. There are some techniques that are a bit harder to master, such as performing the Lob Pass, QB Slide, and Dive. This guide will explain how each of these mechanics work and how to perform them in CFB 26.

How to Perform Lob Pass in CFB 26

To perform a Lob Pass, tap the button directly above your receiving player lightly. Pressing any other button alongside it or pressing it too hard will perform another pass, so you have to lightly tap the button right above the receiver to perform a perfect lob pass.

If you are having a hard time trying to register this pass while playing, head into your control settings and change your controller style to the classic passing style. Also, lob passes tend to go downfield, so using the Four Verticals playstyle will help you utilize longer lob passes here.

To perform the QB Slide move, just press X (Xbox)/ Square (PS) while rushing with the ball. Your QB will slide across the grass in the direction they were initially running in with the ball in hand. This is a great way to bypass other opposing players on the field and get to the goal quicker.

The QB Slide takes a while to register and execute, so you need to time this maneuver properly. Press the button a bit earlier than usual so that the QB has enough time to sprint and slide. The higher the speed and agility stats of your QB are, the better they are at carrying out the QB Slide. Just keep in mind not to perform this move if you spot a defender very close by, as you will get blocked.

How to Dive in CFB 26

The Dive function in CFB 26 can be executed by holding down X (Xbox)/ Square (PS) this time. This move applies to most players holding the ball, and it will cause them to leap up and dive headfirst in the direction they were running. Again, keep an eye out for any defenders nearby, as the closer they are to you, the easier it gets for them to tackle you down. You can use this move to dive and get to the goal quicker.
