Collecting resources and materials to create new items is one of the core mechanics of Dune Awakening. There is an endless list of items you need to scavenge and craft for. While some of them are easier to get, others, like the Silicone Block, are a bit tougher to find. You might have to do a lot more than basic exploration to get it, so this guide will show you where to look for Silicone Blocks in Dune Awakening.
All Ways to Get Silicone Blocks in Dune Awakening
Silicone Blocks are created by mixing Flour Sand and Water at the Small Chemical Refinery. For this, you will require 5x Flour Sand and mix it alongside 50x Water to get 1x Silicone Block. Besides creating Silicone Blocks yourself, you can also trade or exchange them with other players, or visit merchants to find out who can sell Silicone Blocks for a price.
How to Farm Flour Sand

Since you will require tons of Flour Sand to craft Silicone Blocks, you have to scour the deserts to find it. Use your Ornithopter to hover overhead and search for areas where you can spot white clouds of dust. If you land on these spots, you can use the Static Compactor to collect Flour Sand. You can also use your bare hands to gather the flour, but that may take a lot of time.
The only catch here is that you may get attacked by the Sandworm if you linger around the desert floor for too long. Hence why the Static Compactor is recommended to quickly gather all the flour in one spot and compress it for easy handling. You can shoot the compactor across the sandy floor so you don’t have to move around a lot and attract the Sandworm.
Best Flour Sand Farming Spots
Some areas in the desert don’t have any Sandworm activity, making it a good place to stick around and farm for a while. There are two spots you can explore to collect Flour Sand.
Western Vermillious Gap

In the western section of the area, there is a small spot where you can spot some Flour Sand. The area marked above is a safe spot to farm these resources without the fear of the Sandworm attacking you. Just be careful that the area might also contain other players, so be prepared for a battle if they show up.
Eastern Vermillious Gap

If you make your way over to the hammer rock in Eastern Vermillious Gap, you can spot a Flour Sand pit on the western side. This is another safe spot to stick around and farm for Flour Sand, provided you are aware of other players trying to infiltrate the area.
How to Use Silicone Blocks
Silicone Blocks is one of the most common crafting components used in creating most clothing, equipment, and weapons in the game. Almost every recipe requires Silicone Blocks in certain quantities, so gathering ample quantities of Flour Sand and Water are the requirements here.
