RoadCraft: How To Build Bridges(Wood, Concrete & Metal)

Building proper transport infrastructures will be your main goal as you play RoadCraft. You have to plan ahead and craft roads, pavements, docking areas, and bridges so vehicles can get across. But building bridges seems to be a bit more complicated, as there are a couple of different types of bridges you can utilize in the game. This guide will simplify how to build bridges and all bridge types in RoadCraft.

The first thing you need to do is convert trees into logs by chopping down tree trunks using a tree harvester. You can use the MTK MD-76 to efficiently chop down trees and grind them into logs. Next, head over to the build menu and select bridges. You will get a list of three types of wooden bridges that require varying amounts of wood. Let’s go for the Wide Wooden Bridge, so place a starting and ending post first.

Then, drag the wooden boards to your required length, starting from the starting post and fixing it to the end. Now, you need to load up the logs depending on how many are required to build the bridge and transport it over. Log Forwarders like the MTK Proseka 200 can help you with that, and after loading up the vehicle, head over to the bridge and drive a bit over it to complete the construction.

Head over to the build menu and repeat the steps above, but this time go for a concrete bridge construction. You should note that concrete bridges can only be placed on flat terrains. If you are building a bridge over a gap, then place the starting and ending sections against some flat sand flooring, or you can place concrete flooring on your desired location to give the bridge more stability.

First, you need a truck to haul in sand from any nearby sand pit and build a proper sand flooring to give support to your bridge. It can take several trips to collect the required amount of sand to bridge the gap between the starting and ending posts of the bridge. Once that is done, use your bulldozer to flatten the sand.

From the build menu, select the concrete bridge you desire, then drag your required length of the bridge and let go once you are satisfied. Now, you require concrete slabs to build the bridge, and you can get concrete by salvaging debris scattered across the map. Take the concrete to the required plant to turn it into a concrete slab and transport it to the bridge to complete the construction.

Metal Bridges will require more materials to support them, so first you need to get a couple of steel beams. You can collect debris from your surroundings and take it to the steel manufacturing plant to create steel beams. Steel beams can also be found while scavenging.

Next, head into the build menu and place the foundation of your metal bridge to get an estimate of how many steel beams are required. Once that is done, collect all your beams and make your way towards the metal bridge construction site. Drive close to the foundation of the bridge to automatically complete the bridge construction.
