AI Limit has three different endings. You must complete specific quests and possess the proper item to trigger all three endings of the game. Here in the guide, we have compiled all the information to unlock all three endings of the game. Needless to say, spoilers follow!
All Endings In AI Limit
The game offers Good/ Bad/ and True endings. While triggering the Bad ending will be the easiest once, since you don’t have to worry about specific quests. Triggering the Good and True ending will take some time.
- The End of Childhood Ending (Bad Ending)
- Boundless Stars Ending (Good Ending)
- Second Dawn Ending (True Ending)
The End of Childhood (Bad Ending)
Trophy: The End of Childhood
Item Needed: Golden Branch
Questline Requirement: None
To trigger this ending, we skip Delpha’s Questline and head straight to Loskid after defeating her.
- First Step: You must not complete Delpha’s Questline to get the Azure Branch.
- Second Step: Defeat Loskid and then talk to her at the Altar (Hagios Patir > Upper Level). She will give you a Golden Branch once you have talked to her.
- Third Step: Just get to the final area and defeat Aether, the final boss, and you will trigger the End of Childhood ending.
Boundless Stars (Good Ending)
Trophy: Boundless Stars
Item Needed: Soil Samples/ Living Seeds/ Seal of the Tree/ Azure Branch/ Golden Branch.
Questline Requirement: Delpha’s and Millaire Storyline
Here we must finish Delpha’s Storyline, defeat the Guardians of the Tree hidden boss with the help of Millaire, and lastly, repair the branch in the Courtyard of the Tree to trigger the ending.
- First Step: You must complete Delpha’s Questline to get the Azure Branch before having a conversation with Loskid.
Quest Details: Delpha’s Questline requires you to collect 7 Soil Samples and the Item Living Seed. You will have your first interaction with Delpha at Branch: Outer-Wall Ruins – Slums > Temporary Campsite. After you have collected all the Soil, you need to defeat a hidden boss, Ursula, found in a secret area in Outer-Wall Ruins- Ancient Machine Works. You must speak to Ursula after defeating her. At the end of the conversation, you will receive a Living Seed.
Now head to Branch: Twilight Hill – Withered Forest > Arboretum to find Delpha again. Hand him all the Soil Samples and Living Seed, you will receive the Azure Branch.
- The Second Step: It requires you to eliminate the Guardians of the Tree boss with the help of Millaire. Then you must enter the Courtyard of the Tree area and repair the Branch.
Boss Details: You will find the boss near the Gate of the Tree. When you interact with the memory besides the Branch, you will receive the Main Seal of the Tree. Now travel back to the Temporary Campsite to talk to Millaire and show her the seal. Head back to the Gate of the Tree area to open the door with the help of Millaire.
Note: The first three interactions with Millaire are optional, as she stays at the Temporary Campsite for the rest of the game. She will be at that specific place after you have eliminated the Hunter of Bladers boss.
- The Third Step: Head up the stairs and talk to Charon, you can now return to Loskid to get the Golden Branch. Defeat the final boss Aether, choose the dialogue option: “Accept the Invitation “to trigger the ending.
Note: You will see more dialogue options when you encounter the final boss if you have completed additional steps besides the steps mentioned above for this ending.
Second Dawn (True Ending)
Trophy: Second Dawn
Item Needed: Soil Samples/ Living Seeds/ Nameless Flower/ Azure Branch/ Golden Branch
Questline Requirement: Delpha and Shirley Storyline
You must complete both Delpha’s and Shirley’s Storylines and then talk to Loskid to continue with the finale of the game.
- First Step: Here, you also need to complete Delpha’s Storyline to receive the Azure Branch.
- Second Step: The next step is to finish Shirley’s Questline and speak to Delpha again to receive the Nameless Flower. With the flower in hand, talk to Shirley again and hand her the Nameless Flower to complete her Questline.
Note: You must complete Delpha’s Storyline for him to give you the Nameless Flower.
Shirley’s Quest Details:
You need to speak to her 7 times throughout the game. You must also tackle Vikas’ questline to continue Shirley’s Questline. During one of her interactions, you want Vikas to be present when speaking to Shirley at Branch: Hagios Patir – Lower Level > Cleansing Stairs.
- Third Step: The last step includes speaking to Loskid and obtaining the Golden Branch. Now face the Aether, the final boss. Here, choose the dialogue option “Decline the Invitation.” Refusing the invitation will put you up against Charon, the hidden boss.
- Fourth Step: Defeating Charon will trigger the true ending, Second Dawn.
