Playing a multiplayer game comes with plenty of fun as well as misery when you forget to save the game. It can be very difficult to come across the option to save in a multiplayer-driven game. Many players are struggling to find ways to save the game in Schedule I. In the guide, we will look at how to do exactly that.

    Saving Game in Schedule I

You can save your game in Schedule I by either sleeping in-game, using the intercom machine or typing a command in the console. Let’s look at each of these:

    • Saving Game by Sleeping: You must rent a motel room to gain access to the save function. Once you enter the room, locate the bed next to the window, and go to sleep. This will save your game. Any owned buildings will also allow you to save.
    • Saving Game by Intercom Machine: When you get inside your house or a motel room, look for an intercom machine found next to the entrance door. Interact with the machine to save your game’s progress.
    • Saving Game by Console: Going over to the console and typing Save can also save your game’s progress.

Note: The save game feature only unlocks after you have completed the prologue to Schedule I.

    Multiple Save File Option

The game also offers multiple saves for different play styles. If you want to start a game with your friend without infringing your own solo save file, you absolutely can. The game offers multiple saves for solo and multiplayer runs.

    Demo Saves Don’t Carry Over

If you have played the demo for Schedule I, the progress from the demo will not pass over to the current release version. Some have tried to transfer the save file by copying it, but they have faced problems such as No mission prompt, losing items, and many more bugs.

Bug Alert: Sometimes sleeping can result in a black screen and a non-responsive Windows prompt. While I have not encountered the bug so far, it has been a nuisance reported by a few in the gaming community.

Another reported bug features stuttering and crashing out loading up a save. Tweaking the graphic settings seems to fix the problem most of the time.

We recommend that you save the game before continuing with the game. If you are worried about corruption, making a backup save might be the best way to fix the problem. You can access the save directory by:

    “C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I“

Taking the save file and putting it into a separate folder can help you immensely when the save file gets corrupted or simply vanishes from the game. Many have encountered a bug where they saw no save file upon launching the game.
