Nobody wants to start the game from scratch after playing for an hour or more. It is always tedious to go back to the game and realize the progress you have made in the game is all lost because the game failed to save your data. R.E.P.O the new online horror sensation is one of the best fun Co-Op horror games of this week. But the game doesn’t tell you how you can save the game after a long session. Here is a guide to save your game in R.E.P.O.
Saving Game In R.E.P.O
Many people have left various comments regarding the progress of saving in R.E.P.O. The game never outright tells you how to save and it doesn’t have the feature of Auto-Save. If you manage to get to the higher levels and unfortunately die, you don’t want to start from the very beginning. There is another set of problems of saves going missing but first, we tackle how you can save in R.E.P.O.
Saving in SinglePlayer: You must go to the Main Menu after the store to save your game. That’s it, the game will save your progress. You can then quit the game and launch it again, it will start from the previous point. When it comes to the people you were with, launching the game from the save file, will start with the same group of people from the previous round or level or road. You will not see any new players upon launching the save file.
If you do want to make a backup of the save in R.E.P.O., then go to this directory for direct access:
“C:\Users\kit\AppData\LocalLow\semiwork\REPO\saves“
Saving in Multiplayer: If you are playing a Multiplayer session, then suffice it to say, that you will not be able to save any progress. The progress in Multiplayer acts the polar opposite of single-player, the Multiplayer progress always resets. Make sure to get the most out of Multiplayer before hitting Quit.
Bug Alert: Many have noticed bugs with their saves, but most of it has to do with the Save file from last year. If you try to launch the save file, the game will pop up an error message. Some have tried deleting the save file but relaunching the game will make the same deleted save files reappear instantly.
No solution has been found to fix the bug, but saves from the current state of R.E.P.O do seem to work as intended. We will update the guide if we find any fix for the bug, but the save files from the game’s current state do seem to work without any bugs or issues.
