If you are looking for another MMORPG that offers a unique gameplay experience, then The Quinfall should be next on your list. There is a lot to do in this new world, such as stopping the war or learning more about the lore surrounding Quinfall. But besides becoming the best fighter in the land, you also need to learn some tricks of the trade. For one, you need to learn how to tame animals, and this guide will give you the rundown of animal taming in Quinfall.

Animal taming might seem like an easy task on paper, but it is quite complicated to implement in the game. You need to learn how to tame and domesticate animals like horses, goats, sheep, chickens, and cows, so you can then use them at your base for food, or even ride them if permitted. Also, as it is in real life, wild animals like bears and wolves cannot be captured, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Before you begin your journey on animal taming, you need to get some equipment first. Head over to any Mount Caretaker store in any city and purchase a lasso. Each time you use a lasso, it will get used up, so try to purchase a couple of them if you are planning on capturing multiple animals. It costs 800 gold to purchase it, after which you are all set to start the taming process.

Most animals can be found wandering the overworld, so you will most likely encounter them during your exploration. Animals will also come in varying rarity, with Green being the most common and going all the way up to Purple. There are no fixed spawn points where you can find a certain animal rarity, so there is a chance that you can find purple rarity animals in early gameplay areas and green rarity animals in late-game areas. If you are looking for a particular animal type, try to explore the grasslands to find them.

How To Capture & Tame Animals

With your lasso equipped, sneak up on your target by pressing the G key. Slowly inch your way towards the unsuspecting animal; the closer you get to them, the easier it gets to capture them. But if you get too close, the animal will detect you and run away. The right distance is around 4 or 5 steps away from the animal you wish to capture.

Once you are close enough, toss your lasso and a short mini-game will appear. On your screen, you will spot a meter, and there will also be a difficulty measurement depending on the distance between you and the animal. The lower the difficulty, the easier it gets to pass the mini-game.

In the mini-game, you will spot an arrow going back and forth on the meter, and a box right above the meter. The pointer needs to align under the box to successfully tame the animal. You will get a couple of tries to properly align the arrow under the boxed area, after which the animal will be added to your catalog. If you fail the mini-game, then the animal will disappear, never to be seen again.

You can now go back to your base and use all your captured animals to help you gather food or use them in the overworld for transportation. Each time you try to capture an animal in The Quinfall, remember to stay vigilant about crouching close to the animal, using your lasso, and playing the mini-game to tame them.
