The new Feybreak island is a whole new region to explore, and like in the base game, there are a few locations that are better than others when it comes to efficiently farming resources and transporting them back. This becomes all the more crucial as you approach end game and try get your hands on higher tier resources. In this guide we have put up the best base locations in Palworld Feybreak.
Which Is The Best Location To Set Up Base In Palworld Feybreak
By the time you make your way to Feybreak island, you would be on the lookout for resources like Crude Oil to craft Plasteel, as well as Hexolite Quartz and Chromite to craft Hexolites. With these, you can make advanced weapons and gear to help you tackle the new Feybreak boss. You would want to explore areas where you don’t necessarily run into wild Pals but have the resources that you need. Let’s look at a few of these below.
Best Hexolite Ore Base Locations
If you head west of Scorched Hill in Feybreak island (-1340, -1285), you can find two Hexolite ores and one Crude Oil spot so you can farm two materials at once. This area is just west of the level 52 Foxparks Cryst lair. It also gets easier to reach the new level 60 Oil Rig from here, as it is just west of here.
The next best place to check out solely for Hexolite Quartz farming is just west of the level 59 Warsect Terra boss on Feybreak (-1068, -1429). You have to travel to the end of the road leading south to find three Hexolite ores. You do have to be careful while setting up base here, as there is an enemy encampment nearby.
Another area you can check out is by traveling northwest at (-1371, -1006), just southwest of the level 55 Prunelia boss. There is one Hexolite ore and one Crude Oil spot, and the terrain is pretty flat with no surrounding enemies roaming around.
Best Chromite Base Location
Chromite is mostly found within caves and dungeons on Feybreak island. These caves and dungeons are home to most of the new Alpha Pals, so you can check out any of the caves and defeat them. Then, use your metal detector to get Chromite within these areas. If the caves or dungeons are large enough, you can set up an additional base inside, but you might have to be careful of the Alpha Pal respawning within them.
You can build a base at (-983, -1321), just head inside the Crystalized Tunnel and make your way towards the underground area of Scorched Hill. This area is pretty safe and you won’t encounter any wild Pals. You can also meet a Friendly Pal Tamer inside who will give you a reward.
Finally, also let’s look at Crude Oil. While for this resource, we have recommended a non-Feybreak location, the reason to including this is because it forms an essential component of several end-game gear.
Best Crude Oil Base Locations
The best place to set up a crude oil base is at Sakurajima. If you head over to Sakurajima Oil Fields (-646, 270) you can find a large surface of even land that can give you enough space to set up a crude oil farm. This area is northwest of the island, near the Secluded Cemetery.
Another area you can check out in Sakurajima is at (-554, 193). Just west of the Cherry Blossom Crossroads you will come across two crude oil nodes on flat terrain. Besides this, for mid game, you can check out the western section of Mount Obsidian. You will find three crude oil spots just on the edge of the island.
Why These Base Locations Work
Crude Oil and Hexolite Quartz are the two most important resources required to craft all your late-game gear and equipment. If you conveniently set up a base where you can farm at least one or both of these items at the same time, then it will save you a lot of time, effort, and energy.
You can passively let your Pals mine Hexolite Quartz and place Oil Extractors to get Crude Oil. Chromite should be farmed using the metal detector, as no Pal can passively farm it. Hence you can visit your Chromite-specific base from time to time when you require this ore to craft Hexolites.
