PlayStation Plus users who received a copy of the original Days Gone will not be eligible for the Days Gone Remastered upgrade. They must buy the game at full price ($49.99) to enjoy the remastered version. Just last week, we saw Days Gone Remastered being announced for PlayStation 5 on April 25, 2025 packing a list of unique mods and features.
Where the initial price tag of the remaster is set to a $10 upgrade; only if you own the game digitally or physically. Now the news restricts the upgrade for PS Plus users. The news broke out on Reddit, where a Redditor especially pointed out the sentence that states
“Game Redemptions via Playstation Plus are not eligible for Upgrade.”

Days Gone was available on the PlayStation Plus Collection in April back in 2021. If you are one of those people who received a copy of the game within the month, you must buy the Remastered at full price to enjoy the new feature of the game.
Many fans were initially excited over the announcement of the remaster of Days Gone and were more than willing to pay $10 for the upgrade. The news of the PS Plus restriction has made some PS Plus users show disinterest in paying the full amount for the game they already have in their library.
While we don’t really know what the future holds, some PS Plus users are hoping Sony will backtrack on the statement to cover more sales. The original Days Gone can be purchased on PlayStation 5 and PC.
