Bend’s Studio’s Days Gone is getting a remastered version for PS5 in April of this year. The new edition will improve over the previous version by adding new features and game modes. Here is what we know about the Remastered edition of Days Gone:
- Permadeath Game Mode has been added for the players seeking the ultimate challenge.
- Speedrun Mode is another feature that tackles the best time to beat out the game.
- Horde Assault Mode will have Decan St. John taking on large hordes. Picture World War Z but in Days Gone, you will face more Freakers to grab the higher by surviving as long as possible.
- The remastered version will include: Higher Foliage Draw Distance, Improved Lighting and Shadow, Better resolution for Quality Mode, and improved framerates for Performance Mode.
- Enhanced photo mode, DualSense Support, and accessibility features.
Accessibility Features will include UI Narration, Collectible Audio Cues, High Contrast mode, Field of View slider, Game Speed, Controller Remapping, and more.
When it comes to pricing, if you already have a copy of the game on your PS4, you can go ahead and get the remastered version for 10$, that includes all the new content, modes and features. If you did not own the original and are looking to give it a shot now, the Days Gone Remastered will cost you 49.99$. Pre-ordering also gives you bonuses on early unlocks like a Monkey Wrench Skill, Drifter Crossbow, Upgrades for Shroud, Nitrous & Gas Tank, and avatars based on key characters in the game.
A Days Gone Remaster, and a Days Gone sequel have been persistent demands from the gaming community, and the fact that one of the two is being put out is a start atleast. Now, the kind of numbers that this one racks in, could give a more concrete signal to devs and publishers on whether that is a good enough number to consider a possible sequel. Till then, firing up the bike and getting through those zombie hordes will have to do!
