Wylder’s Chalice Quest Guide In Elden Ring Nightreign

Each class in Elden Right Nightreign has their own storylines to complete. Completing them rewards you with unique runes or chalices to equip and gain or change passive abilities. If you want to get the Chalice for Wylder, you need to complete a particular questline. This guide will explain how to do that in Nightreign.

How To Get Wylder’s Chalice in Nightreign

Wylder’s Chalice will be available during Chapter 5, but there are a bunch of prerequisites to complete first. Unlock the Duchess in Nightreign first, then check your journal to find new chapters for Wylder. You need to complete Chapter 1 and 2 first, and then you will be tasked with locating the Iron Menial in Chapter 3. This NPC is within the Roundtable Hold, so speak to them to start the quest objective to locate the Slate Whetstone.

You have to start any expedition and check the map for a red flag marker. This symbolizes the availability of the quest item for Wylder, so you might have to do a couple of runs within different expedition maps to find the Slate Whetstone. Near the quest marker, you need to search around for a mine entrance or an entrance to a crypt.

Inside the mine, follow the path that’s lit up by glowing rocks till you reach the Tunnel Crystallian boss. Defeat it to gain access to the Slate Whetstone, then you can either win or fail the rest of the expedition to be transported back to the Roundtable Hold. Hand over the Whetstone to the Iron Menial to complete the objective. As your reward, you can choose between three items, so pick up the Mended Earring and head over to the study behind the Iron Menial.

While walking around the study, you will get a notification to hold up your new earring quest item to the light. After that, find the Duchess to complete this chapter. You will receive the Slate Whetstone relic as your final reward, but there is no use for it currently.

Open up your journal to get a new Remembrance for Wylder. Start the Remembrance for Chapter 5 and check your map. You will be led to the west hall, where you will find three glowing notes to read. These notes will be highlighted in your surroundings. Next, you will be notified of a door unlocking, so head down the stairs in the west hall until you reach the newly opened door. Explore the new area to find the Iron Menial hidden deep within, and speak to him to exhaust all his dialog.

There are three more glowing notes within the crypt. Find and read them all, then head back to the Roundtable. You need to find and speak to the Duchess again, so head south towards the beach to find her. Ask her if she is trapped, then complete the conversation to wrap up this Remembrance. You will be rewarded with Wylder’s Chalice after coming out of the Remembrance.

    How to Use Wylder’s Chalice

Equipping Wylder’s Chalice will unlock Wylder’s hidden ability. To do that, head over to the Relic Rites station to access the menu, then select Wylder’s Chalice to equip it. Once done, you will notice that you have three relic slots, one red, yellow, and universal. Within this, drag and drop the Slate Whetstone into the universal slot to get a unique passive that increases physical attacks. This enhances Wylder’s greatsword to boost its damage output and also release a fiery attack on enemies.
