If you are hungry for interaction between Melinoe and Zagreus, you are in for a trip with Hades 2. While Hades 2 Early Access gave us only a small portion of Zagreus, the full release has made Zagreus a part of the game. Not only do you have over 20 minutes of conversation with Zagreus, but you will also get to battle him at the Colosseum. Here are the steps to unlock Zagreus in Hades 2.
How to Unlock Zagreus in Hades 2?

You must defeat Chronos’ boss fight and use the Mirror of Night to talk to Zagreus in Hades 2.
- Once you have done that, you will get Zodiac Sand or Z Sand. Then make your way to the boss arena, the chambers down the hall. But instead of heading into the chamber, take the small doorway on the right.
- Here you will arrive at the Prince’s chamber, Zagreus’ place. The appearance of the room hasn’t changed much from the first Hades, but now it looks a bit unattended.

- Interact with the bed found on the right side of the room. You will be given the prompt to “Dream?”, press the button to start dreaming. Melinoe’s physical body will be asleep on the bed, and you will gain access to her ghost state.
- Now, in the ghost form, head to the Mirror of Night on the left side of the room, and you will be given the prompt “Pierce“.Once you press the button, you will get transported to the world behind the mirror, a place called “Mist of Memories”.

In this new realm, Melinoe will start floating in the air, follow the astral path, and you will soon hear Zagreus talking at a distance. When you get close, you will see Zagreus in his own Mirror of Night, surrounded by gold coins. When you get near the mirror, you will see a prompt “Project“. Press the button to start a conversation with Zagreus.
The Zagreus you see in the Mirror of Night is the version of Zagreus from the past before the Chronos rule in the House of Hades. On your first interaction, Zagreus will not see Melinoe as his sister. The only way to unlock more dialogue is to build trust with Zagreus. This can only be done by defeating Chronos over and over again, and continuing all the steps mentioned above to talk to Zagreus in the Mist of Memories.
Note: You must defeat Chronos five times after your first encounter with Zagreus; it will unlock a key item that will help you end Typhon and Chronos.
You will also get to Zagreus again, but only after you complete the entire game and free all the members of the House of Hades. You will see Zagreus popping up in Charon’s shop, transporting Melinoe to the Elysium, where she could challenge Zagreus for a battle at the Colosseum in Hades 2.
