During your exploration of Titan Quest 2, you will come across strange quests that might seem a bit impossible to complete. For the Tricker’s Shrine quest, there is a riddle after acquiring a unique item from an unknown location. The answer to the riddle isn’t immediately known, hence why it may seem a bit difficult to complete the quest. Keep reading below to know how to complete the Tricker’s Shrine quest in Titan Quest 2.
How to Start the Trickster’s Shrine Quest in Titan Quest 2

The quest unlocks after retrieving the Caduceus staff and placing it at the Shrine of Hermes. To find the Caduceus staff quest item, head within the Southern Flooded Farmland, northeast of Pyrgos. You would reach this location as part of the Search for the Sea God quest, so it’s unmissable.
There is a small bandit camp, which is approachable by either going straight through the marsh or taking a longer route northeast. Right at the tip of the platform is the Caduceus. Pick it up and inspect it in your inventory to get a hint on where you should go next.
Shrine of Hermes Location

Your next trip is towards the Shrine of Hermes to return the Caduceus here. Head over to Pygros Village waypoint and go all the way to the northern section of the map. Over here, you will spot an empty slot at the edge of the shrine. Interact with it to get the option of placing the Caduceus within the slot. Doing so will reveal a stone with a strange inscription.
Do What the Shrine’s Inscription Asks
The inscription will read that you need to locate the creature that Hermes slayed to create the first lyre. To know the answer, investigate the pots just right of the Caduceus to find a worn-out scroll. The scroll will answer the riddle, which is to find a turtle. Luckily, the surrounding area is filled with turtles, so lure one over to the shrine and kill it. Turtles don’t deal a lot of damage and are easy to kill.
To lure a turtle, stand in front of one and slowly back away. Avoid dealing any damage till you reach the altar, then strike them when you reach the middle of the shrine. If no turtles are around or if you have killed them all, restart the game to have them respawn.
Once done, you will receive varying amounts of gold, 5232 XP, and +1 Attribute Point for completing the quest.
