With each quest you pick up in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you will encounter puzzles to solve that unlock new areas or find new treasures. Some of the puzzles are repetitive, so you can quickly figure out how to complete them. But a few others require a bit of patience and a keen eye to solve them.
Once you reach the Tide Flats area of Rivain Coast, you will spot three unlit bonfires. You need to find a way to get to them and light them up to open up a secret gate. In this guide we have a step-by-step guide on how to complete the Tide Flats bonfire puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
How To Solve The Tide Flats Brazier Puzzle In Dragon Age: The Veilguard
The Tide Flats Brazier puzzle involves locating and lighting four bonfires to unlock the gate and collect the treasure. You will reach Tide Flats while exploring Rivain Coast in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. There are a few quests here that you can pick up, so you would probably venture out here. Once you reach the location in Tide Flats level 1, you will find a small enclave with a locked bone gate. Beyond the gate is the treasure you need to get, and to unlock the gate you need to solve the bonfire puzzle.
Out of the four bonfires; three are in level 1 and one in level 2. We will help you locate all of them below.
Bonfire Location #1
The first bonfire is just beside the locked gate, use the Ignite ability to set it on fire.
Bonfire Location #2
The second bonfire is located south to southeast. It can be found behind a large boulder.
Bonfire Location #3
After lighting up the second bonfire, head a bit northeast till you reach a large skeleton ribcage. In front of the ribcage is a Resonant Slab that can be moved vertically. Use Eternal Hymn to move the slab downwards, then hop on it. Use this ability again to hoist yourself upwards. Walk across the rib cage towards the broken tower to find the third bonfire.
Bonfire Location #4
For the final bonfire, head back to your puzzle starting location and climb up the ladders in the west, near the cave entrance. Once you reach level 2, hop up the platform on the left and keep going up. Then, jump across the stone platforms on the south side and keep going till you reach a wooden platform. Jump on that, then you will spot the final bonfire on your right.
Tide Flats Bonfire Puzzle Rewards
After lighting up all the bonfires, return to the locked bone gate and interact with it to open it up. There is just one Treasure Chest inside the room, and unlocking it will give you Fortune’s Favor +9 Rare Medium Armor for Taash and Tyrdda Bright Axe Memento to increase Caretaker Power. You can also get some resources like +5 Pure Ore, +4 Fade Touched Ore, and the Dragonfire Catalyst while exploring the area.
