There is no shortage of dungeons when it comes to Throne and Liberty, as you will always find some dungeons to clear as you reach the higher levels of the game. Eventually, you can compete in the Co-Op dungeons to get better loot and test your skills. One of the dungeons that will challenge you is the Carmine Rage Island dungeon. There are a handful of mini-bosses here before you can reach the final boss. In this guide we have all the details on how to clear the Carmine Rage Island dungeon in Throne and Liberty.
Carmine Rage Island Guide In Throne And Liberty
The Carmine Rage Island is a Tier 2 Co-Op dungeon, and you can bring your friends along so you don’t get overwhelmed. There are several mob enemies that offer unique fighting mechanics, and you need to clear them to reach the mini-bosses and the main boss.
Main Mob Fight Guide
During the initial stages of the dungeon, there are two mob mechanics you need to learn and clear before you can reach the first mini-boss. In the first section, you will encounter some goblins. As the fight goes on, one of the players in your party will have a red-eye symbol appear over their head. This particular player can spot one red goblin that stands apart from the others. Quickly defeat that red goblin to clear the area. Failure to catch and kill the red goblin, or defeating other goblins instead of the marked one will result in an explosion.
In the second section, there is a short puzzle to solve before you can fight the first mini-boss of the dungeon. You will notice that different pillars within the area will have different colored symbols on them. The symbols will disappear after a while, so you have to memorize the location of the symbols. Next, these symbols will now appear on the players. Your goal here is to find the pillar that has the same symbol as you, run towards it, and interact with it. If done correctly, you will receive a temporary shield.
Red Goblin Shaman
As soon as this mini-boss spawns, it will create an AOE attack. Luckily, the shields you get will protect you from the initial attack. Next, keep an eye out for red circles that appear on the floor. Avoid these circles and deal high damage to counter the Shaman’s self heal. Once its health is reduced, the Shaman will disappear momentarily. The pillar puzzle will reappear, solve it to gain a shield and avoid the Shaman’s attacks. Continue this way to defeat the Goblin Shaman and move on to the next mini-boss fight.
Red Goblin Bomber
Once you reach the floating platform, you will encounter the Red Goblin Bomber. During the start of the fight, there will be several red circles in the area. Avoid them else they will create an AOE damage. The Bomber will also spew some bombs randomly around the area, you can toss them over the ledge so that they don’t explode around you. Once the boss’s health is halfway, it will move on to the next platform. Grapple your way across and continue the fight till its health is lowered some more and it teleports to the final platform. Follow the goblin and finish off the fight.
Red Goblin King Gaitan Boss Fight Guide In Throne And Liberty
Completing all the previous mini-boss fights will lead you to the main boss of the dungeon: the Red Goblin King Gaitan. The boss implements a few basic attacks first before doing some complex techniques during the second half of the fight.
- Gaitan will use its staff to swipe or hit any player nearby. These can be blocked or dodged.
- Any player that is too far away will be a target of the boss, and Gaitan will charge towards them.
- Roll away to avoid the boss. Gaitan will perform this attack two more times, so stay alert.
- The boss will then use its staff to do a quick whirlwind attack, which has a bigger AoE damage.
- Players further away will take the most damage, so keep the right distance from the boss.
- However, if you stay too close, you will get hurt big time with the next attack which is a Fury attack, where the boss will slam its staff to the ground with force.
- Roll away when you see this happen, then prepare yourself for the repeat of the above three attacks; namely the Charge attack, Whirlwind, and Fury.
Gaitan Second Phase
- When Gaitan’s health is less than half, it will trigger the second part of the fight.
- During this fight, several pillars will appear all around and chain up some of the players.
- It is best to line up your formation so your Tank does not get chained up, and also gains a damage buff.
- To do this, after the second set of Whirlwind attacks in phase 1, Gaitan will teleport to the center of the arena.
- All the players should line up from closest to Gaitan to the furthest, with the Tank being in the middle.
- The Tank should be the fifth player from Gaitan, which is an ideal distance so they don’t get chained up and they receive a buff.
- The player who was pulled last by the pillar will be the first target of Gaitan. The only way to avoid Gaitan’s attack while chained is to turn into a morph and dodge or run away.
- Gaitan will move clockwise while performing its attacks on the chained players, so the players should run anti-clockwise to avoid the attack.
- During the attacks, the boss will end up breaking the pillars, thus setting everyone free. Use this time to land some powerful hits.
- This process repeats a second time, so rinse and repeat the above steps. The Tank has to deal the most damage throughout the second phase and not die, or they risk causing an AoE explosion.
- Ideally, keep a healer nearby so nothing goes haywire, and you are able to defeat the Red Goblin King Gaitan and clear the dungeon.
