Throne And Liberty: Resistance’s Role Model Codex Guide

There are a few codexes that can be a bit difficult to solve in Throne and Liberty, as you need to prepare yourself for a tough hike around the region. Sometimes you will be stuck with tasks where you need to find or retrieve something. You can pick up such codexes while exploring the region and interacting with any NPCs you come across.

During such exploration around the Watcher’s Post in Fonos Basin, you need to help the Captain retrieve the Fonos Accessories from the Fire Cave. But there are a few rules you need to follow to avoid getting caught. In this guide we will detail how to complete the Resistance’s Role Model codex in Throne and Liberty.

How To Start Resistance’s Role Model Codex In Throne And Liberty

The Resistance’s Role Model Codex can be unlocked on speaking to the Captain inside Watcher’s Tower in Fonos Basin. Before picking up this codex, you need to complete a prior codex quest called Land of the Wild, Fonos Basin. In that quest, after defeating the Orc Brawler’s Chief, you get the Orc Brawler disguise that will help you with one of the objectives in the Resistance’s Role Model codex. You can check out the map above for the Captain’s exact location in the Watcher’s Tower.

This will start the Resistance’s Role Model codex, which has these objectives to complete:

    • Talk to the Watcher’s Post Captain at Watcher’s Post.
    • Use the Catapult to enter Fonos Basin.
    • Use the Catapult and enter Fire Cave in Infiltration mode to get the Fonos Accessories on the Fonos Chair without being attacked.
    • Talk to the Watcher’s Post Captain at Watcher’s Post.

How To Use The Catapult To Enter Fire Cave In Throne And Liberty

The catapult can be found east from where you have spoken to the Captain. You need to go up the hill to find it, and the above map has the location of the catapult. After locating the catapult, activate the lever then quickly jump into the catapult’s basket to get launched into the air. Morph into any glide mount, keep going east, then land on the raised plateau where the tree is. We have marked the location of where you need to land below.

Pro Tip: This is the perfect time to make use of the multi-player part of the MMORPG, and have your friend pull the lever while you are already sitted in the catapult’s basket.

After landing, head into your morph menu and activate the Orc Brawler morph. This will make it easier for you to traverse the terrain filled with Orc enemies, and infiltrate the Fire Cave. To find the Fire Cave, keep going north while sticking to the mountains on your right. You can also follow the main Fonos Basin path and that will lead straight to the fire cave. Do not enter the first cave entrance that you come across, rather keep going north till you spot a second cave entrance. When you enter it, you will be notified that you are inside the Fire Cave.

Enter the cave and keep to your left, then take the first right turn that you come across. Keep following the path till it eventually turns to the left. You will come across a large chair where you can spot the Specter’s Soul Shard. Collect the shard and quickly make your way out of the cave, then return to the Captain to complete the Resistance’s Role Model Codex in Throne and Liberty.
