Guilds of every server will have a chance to rule Solisium once again as NCSoft’s Throne and Liberty is set to begin a Castle Siege War PvP Event on November 17th. Castle Siege events which give the players a chance to collect many rewards and rule their region with their friends.
Those ruling over the Stoneguard castle will have to defend themselves against various alliances and guilds as they try to take the throne and become the Legion guild. With various strategies, smart combat and golem transformations, you too can make your way to the top and conquer Solisium with ease. Here is a detailed guide on every step of the Siege and what it takes to be titled the next champion.
Castle Siege Wars: The Siege Begins
Throne and Liberty will be starting the Castle siege in your server on Nov 17, 21:00, with the whole event lasting for an hour. Before the siege begins, guilds will have the chance to strategize their moves during the preparation phase, which will last until 21:15. Once the Preparation phase starts, players won’t be allowed to meet NPCs, so make sure you have everything you need before the timer goes off.
As soon as the time hits 21:15, PvP will be enabled and players will be transported near the Castle siege zone. Players of the same team will appear blue, while those belonging to the opposition will be red. Those of ruling alliances would be transported inside the castle. These players won’t be able to leave their places until 5 seconds, giving the defenders enough time to take control of the siege ruins.
Siege Ruins: Crucial Points
Defender alliances should try to get ahold of these spots as Siege Ruins have the ability to act as teleportation and resurrection points. While this was useful enough, these spots can also summon huge Siege Golems. These powerful Golems have specific capabilities that can be utilized to breach the walls of the Stoneguard Castle.
- Stone Crashers (Siege Ruin 3): Can destroy walls, gates and towers of the castle but cannot go inside it. They also have the ability to push enemies away from the walls. Last for 5 Minutes.
- Jump Attackers (Siege Ruin 4): They can go over walls and hunt enemies. Their duration is around 6 minutes.
- Battle Carries (Siege Ruin 2): Can act as a bridge for the players and ease breaking into the castle. Available for 5 minutes and cannot go inside the castle.
- Gate Hammers (Siege Ruin 2): These golems can go inside the castle and perform range attacks, but will only be available 10 minutes after the Siege begins. Gate Hammers will be last for 6 minutes.
Siege Ruin 1 can be used as a Resurrection Point. There are several resurrection points within the castle, which the guilds can capture and use in combat. Keep in mind that only Leaders, Advisors and Guardians can summon Golems. Alliances can get ahold of the Siege Ruins, but would need higher ranks to actually utilize these spots to the fullest.
Other Ways To Enter Stoneguard Castle
If golems fail to break down all walls of the castle, players still have the chance to steal the throne. They can find the levers beside each castle gate and two players will have to push them at the same time to open it.
Another way is by entering through the side gate, which can be accessed through the sewers. Rain will block all the sewer pathways, so reigning guilds can use it to their advantage and block the pathways for a limited time.
Taking The Spoils
Players of any guild rank can get ahold of Pillage Stones, which offer spoils from within the castle. They carry a lot of Lucent and Sollant and will be spawning new rewards every 5 minutes. Those belonging to higher ranks can capture these Pillage Stones relatively faster than lower ranks.
Finale: The Battle for the Throne
Once a guild or alliance manages to get inside the Throne Room, they’ll be battling face to face with the defenders. If no guild usurps the throne within the given time of 45 minutes, the throne will once again return to the previous Legion guild. If a new guild from the attackers side usurps the throne, the timer will increase by 3 minutes.
Even if a guild captures the throne after entering the room, they’ll have to defend it until the timer runs out. This makes the battle for Solisium’s new champions more fun and complex.
After The Victory
The new Legion guild will be able to rule the server and control all of its functioning. Solisium’s taxes, times for purchasing new items and more will be decided by the Legion guild. It’s time to strategize well and look forward to a fierce battle of alliances in Throne and Liberty.
