Unlocking Ultimate Lepic Form
Lepic, The Last Grenadier, will have better AOE once you upgrade him to his Ultimate Form. He will also have higher stats and mod capacity.
Here’s how to unlock his Ultimate form in The First Descendant:
- Begin Research on Ultimate Lepic by talking to Magister Anais.
- Obtain the crafting materials needed for Ultimate Lepic.
You can also just purchase Ultimate Lepic from the in-game store for around 3,000 to 5,000 caliber.
Step 1: Researching Ultimate Lepic
If you need to change into a new character, you’ll have to research them at the Albion Mountains Research Institute. Go and talk to Magister Anais and start the research to unlock this character. Unlocking normal characters like Lepic is much easier than unlocking their Ultimate versions.

You can get the Enhanced Cells, Stabilizer, and Lepic Spiral Catalyst through research. Amorphous Material is a reward you get by completing Recon missions throughout the game. Their drop rate is around 5% to 10%, so be prepared to complete the missions multiple times to get the right Amorphous materials.
It will be easier to obtain the materials if you play as Sharen. Two missions can reward you with Amorphous material 089 and 061, Vermillion Waste: Vulgus Strategic Outpost and Rockfall: Vulgus Strategic Outpost.
Enhanced cells are obtained by completing one Intercept Battle and two Void Fusion reactor missions. The Sepulcher mission is a good way to get materials for this item.
Stabilizers can be obtained by completing Intercept battles and a Void Fusion reactor mission. The Slumber Valley mission in Kingston can help you easily get the materials. Change the Amorphous Pattern Reward to 059 to get the Stabilizer.
For the Spiral Catalyst, complete the Dead Bride and Pyromaniac missions on Hard mode, while also completing a Void Fusion Reactor mission in Sterile Land Rockfall Zone. The Unknown Laboratory mission in Sterile Land has a 10% chance of giving you the items you need. The chance of getting Amorphous Pattern 006 through Rockfall: Vulgus Strategic Outpost is 6% so keep repeating it until you get the drop you need.
It would take around 18 hours for each part to be ready for you. Once each part is complete, you would need to spend an additional 900,000 research credits and wait for 1 day 12 hours to get the Ultimate Lepic form. The grinding and patience are worth it since Ultimate Lepic is one of the most powerful characters in the game.
Best Ultimate Lepic Build Guide
Ultimate Lepic is a Module-dependent Descendant that Nexon games introduced in The First Descendant. While he does have slower mobility compared to other characters, he becomes a spam machine once you have the right Module on him. Ultimate Lepic can use Transcendant Modules like Firearm Master, Power Unit Charge, Increased Efficiency, and Nerve Infiltration.

- Firearm Master: Reloading weapons will increase power and range of skills.
- Time Distribution: Reduced skill cooldown time.
- Emergency Measures: Increases the rate and damage of Critical hits.
- Spear and Shield: Increases Damage done on enemies and other Defensive abilities.

- Sigvore’s Proof: Since Lepic’s attribute is Fire, this weapon is made entirely for him. This launcher can shoot out grenades that can burn the enemy after detonating. Everyone around it will be affected, making it good for taking down groups of enemies.
- Tamer: This Machine Gun is the best DPS for Ultimate Lepic, as he can complete Void Intercept Battles quickly with it. Weapon modules like Better Concentration can further increase the effects of this gun.

How To Play Ultimate Lepic Version
Ultimate Lepic is the best grenade spammer with good AOE and burn damage. He has increased defensive abilities compared to the normal version. All of the normal skills that Lepic had will be enhanced by changing into his Ultimate form, including skills like:
- Grenade Throw
- Traction Grenade
- Overkill
- Overclock
- Close Call (Passive)
Try to keep the Overclock skill active before using Grenade Throw or Overkill abilities, as they cause extra burns when that skill is active.
