The Second season update in The First Descendant brings an interesting new character: Ines Raya. Her stunning electric damage skills make her a perfect addition to the game. When equipped with the right build, Ines can take down multiple enemies simultaneously. Here’s a guide to having the best Ines build, weapon arrangement, and modules.
Ines Raya: The AoE Attack Expert
With her insanely high AoE damage skills and electric powers, Ines is a game-changer for First Descendant players.
She can get rid of almost all bosses with ease since she has a high critical attack rate too. Another good thing about Ines is that she can be modified into any build, whether it’s for farming, defeating Bosses, or exploring Dungeons.
All of Ines Raya’s Abilities
Ability | Level | Effect |
Chain Lightning | Default | Ines will fire a chain lighting at the target. This can bounce and will inflict damage on whoever is hit with it. |
Lightning Conductor | Level 3 | Ines will shoot current coils on the target. |
Discharge | Level 5 | Ines will gather electricity in her hand and release a lightning strike on the target. The more you charge, the more powerful the shot will be. |
Snare Hunter | Level 7 | Ines will throw a plasma acceleration coil at the target, while also summoning a thunder snare on them. |
Ines Raya’s passive ability is plasma oscillation, where her critical skill rate will increase proportionally to MP. All abilities, including the Passize ability, will have a conductor effect. If enemies under the influence of the conductor effect are attacked, they will have to double the damage.

Best Equipment For Ines Raya
While Ines is strong enough on her own, using the proper equipment can enhance all her abilities. Here’s a list of weapons and other equipment that will aid you in unlocking Ines’ full potential.
Weapons
- Secret Garden: Tactical Rifle
- Enduring Legacy: Machine Gun
- Smithereens: Shotgun
- Thunder Cage: Submachine gun
Getting these guns to the Max stats will allow you to fire enemies at extremely high critical rates and critical damage. Secret Garden is the best gun for any Ines Build, since her abilities paired with the gun’s “Pest Control” effect can increase the total AoE damage extensively. Enduring Legacy is another strong choice for an Ines build.
You’ll get Thunder Cage by completing the main story missions. This gun is good at AoE damage and would match the skills of Ines. Since Ines’ element is electricity, the best reactor for her would be the Electric Mechanics Reactor.
External Components
As with all character builds, the Slayer Set would be the best external component for Ines Raya. The slayer set has many advantages, some of which include increased round capacity, damage, and skill power. This set usually includes the following components:
- Slayer Sensor
- Slayer Processor
- Slayer Memory
- Slayer Auxilliary Power

How To Play As Ines Raya In The First Descendant
Ines Raya belongs to a family of fighters who had the Thunderous Arche. She inherited this power from her mother and now uses it to fight against the Dark forces in The First Descendant. What makes Ines different from other characters is her massive AoE damage potential and electric attacks.
The conductor effect from her abilities will allow you to damage groups of enemies at once. If an enemy is already under the effect of a chain reaction and is attacked with another ability, they lose more health than usual. Ines has high agility and power, but pairing it with the Secret Garden weapon will increase the damage she can do.
With her Discharge and Current coil abilities, Ines can attack all kinds of enemies even from a distance. She can also continuously drain an enemy’s health by summoning a thunderous snare with her Plasma Acceleration Coil ability, making it perfect to use on larger bosses.
