Zoma Boss Fight Preparation
First you have to pick your party lineup and best gear and accessories for them. For us, we are going for this best late game party lineup, but you can also go for the following:
Vocation | Equipment |
Warrior | Stormlord’s Sword, Power Shield, Mythril Helm, Spiked Armour |
Hero | Sword of Kings, Hero’s Shield, Auroral Helm, Auroral Armour |
Sage | Somatic Staff, Goddess Shield, Thinking Cap, Shimmering Dress |
Monster Wrangler | Demon Spear, Flame Shield, Great Helm, Blessed Bikini |
The above lineup focuses more on attack and DPS, while also keeping a heavy-duty healer with you at all times. You can utilize some of the Monster Wrangler’s abilities like Monster Pile On and Wild Side for Dazzle protection. With the Sage, switch to the Gadabout first to learn all the spells, then switch back. You can now utilize healing spells and spells that offer buffs to your party.
In case you wish to switch the Monster Wrangler with the Martial Artist, then learning the Ripple of Disruption skill will benefit you greatly to dispel Zoma’s Bounce move. The above equipment helps deal with Zoma’s mostly icy attacks and spells, but any armor or equipment that offers ice resistance and spell resistance can be used here. Also, before you head into the fight, be sure to collect the Sphere of Light, Torc of Truth, and Acceleratle.
Zoma Boss Fight Guide
Now that you are all prepared, start the fight by using the Sphere of Light to counter Zoma’s Shroud of Shadows. To protect your team, cast the Magic Barrier and Insulate so you don’t have to focus on healing early in the game. Next, put him to sleep so you have an easier time attacking him. You can double your use of Snooze Sticks or Sleepy Slaps for that, or use the Snooze with WildSide combo. If you have the Duplic Hat, now is a good time to use it to double your casting.
Doing this combo four times is enough to knock out Zoma, but do be careful. Zoma can use Bounce to reflect your spell back at you. Use the Ripple of Disruption if this happens. If you have successfully put him to sleep, use Acceleratle to increase all party member speed to get the first turns. Once Zoma takes his turn, he might use Dazzle. You can counter it using Monster Pile On with Wild Side, or use the Torc of Truth. In the meantime, attack him with your main DPS to keep lowering his health
