The Complete Guide on Cursed Doll In Megabonk

Megabonk has been making waves on Steam, and for good reason. The roguelite survival game has you clearing enemy mobs, elites, and bosses, which just happen to be, well, vampires. The game gives you a lot of items to help you do exactly that, and one such item that you would probably have heard of is the Cursed Doll. We have put up in this article how to get your hands on this item, and what its uses are.

How To Get The Cursed Doll In Megabonk

You get the Cursed Doll in Megabonk by dying 10 times. It is as simple as that; there is no other catch to this. Except, of course, the pain value of dying these many times in the game. At least, it is not as difficult as, let’s say, the Brass Knuckles item, which requires you to defeat 5000 enemies with a Sword. Or the Ghost item for that matter, which requires you to survive the Swarm for a full minute.

Once you die 10 times, the Cursed Doll item is then all yours to equip.

What Does The Cursed Doll In Megabonk Do?

    Megabonk gameplay

The Cursed Doll in Megabonk deals 30% of Max HP damage to enemies. Needless to say, this is a big deal, and looks to be set to be a super useful resource when tackling the several Elite enemies and bosses that the game throws at you. However, before you make up your mind and start gunning for the 10 deaths needed to get the Cursed Doll, a word of caution.

In our tests and as reported by other reddit users as well, at least till the time of writing this article, the Cursed Doll item does not look to work against Elite enemies and bosses: it only works against the standard enemy mobs that the game throws at you.

While this could possibly be a bug, we have a feeling this is how the item was intended to be right from the beginning. In cases where the game has items that deal damage to specific enemy types, it mentions that specifically. The Boss Buster item, for example, specifically mentions a +15% damage against bosses.

Megabonk is currently sitting at an impressive 91.12% positive reviews on Steamdb, and has hit a peak of 53k active player count. Considering that the game came up in the middle of a busy AAA game release calendar with Silent Hill f, Dying Light: The Beast, and Hades 2, that is not a bad number at all.
