In Escape from Tarkov 1.0, the system of unlocking Traders and maps is a bit different. This requires a significant amount of in-game progress to acquire all the traders, and it is the only way to access the new maps in the game. Escape from Tarkov – How to Unlock All Maps and Traders
By default, you get to unlock the Therapist and Ragman and the Ground Zero map after completing the tutorial, and you need to go through first chapter questline called Chapter: Tour to find the others. Unlike the early access version of Escape from Tarkov, in 1.0, the only way to unlock Traders and maps is by completing tasks. From the get-go, you cannot load into any of the random maps available in the game.
You will get one default map and two traders, and you need to go through their tasks to unlock new maps and new traders. Even if you meet other traders for the first time, you won’t unlock trading with them unless you complete a particular quest objective. Along the way, you will also uncover new maps, so let’s take a look at when you get to unlock each map and trader in the game.
