Completing all the quests in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl can lead you to some interesting revelations, and this can impact how your gameplay goes. There are several side quests you can pick up and completing them is well worth it as you get additional rewards. Some quests can even lead you to find rare and unique weapons, and one such quest is the Uninvited Guests side quest. But for you to get a unique Assault Rifle at the end, you must choose a specific option when presented with a choice, or else you won’t get the weapon.
In this guide we have all the details on how to complete the Uninvited Guests side quest in Stalker 2, and get the Decider Assault Rifle.
How To Start The Uninvited Guests Quest In Stalker 2
You have to venture out to the Cement Factory and head southeast to the Concrete Forest to start the quest. Once you reach the Concrete Jungle, check out the smaller northeastern building. You can find Mytryk Genius roaming outside the building, and talking to him starts the Uninvited Guests quest.
Uninvited Guests Walkthrough In Stalker 2
The task at hand is quite simple, all you need to do is help Mytryk locate his missing gun. He will tell you that the gun fell somewhere under the Concrete Forest, so head underground to find it. But before you head down, remove your secondary weapon, as this will help you during the fight with the Burer Mutants. Near where Mytryk was, you can find a ladder leading down to the sewers.
Find Mytryk Genius’s Gun
The underground area is filled with valuable loot, so collect all the weapons you can find as you keep going. The path is pretty linear, so you should have no problem with navigation. Eventually, you will reach an area with two rooms, and in each room, you can spot the Burers waiting for you. Instead of engaging with them right now, head through the doorway that is furthest away, where one of the two Burer Mutants is lurking around.
Just behind the mutant are some stairs going up. Take the stairs and collect all the guns you come across. You will also find the Decider on top of a crate, which is the gun you need to hand over to Mytryk. After collecting all guns, head down the passage to find a room where you can drop all weapons except your primary. Be careful of the Ball Lightning anomaly roaming the corridor.
The reason why we are going to drop all our weapons from our inventory is that the Burer cannot yank them away from us. Also, try to hide the weapons in rooms further away from the corridor where the Lightning anomaly is, so the Burers can’t pick it up and shoot at you. While dropping your weapons, drop your artifacts too, then the Lightning anomaly won’t follow you.
How To Fight The Burer Mutants
There are two ways to fight the Burer Mutants. The first method is easier to follow, while the second method requires some luck and good timing to fight them.
Method 1:
You can head back down to the location where the Burers spawn, then shoot them to aggro them. After that, quickly head up the ladder that you came down in, then shoot at the Burers from up there. Remember to hide, as they can toss objects up at you to deal damage. Wait for their shields to disappear before you hit them, and you can use the downtime to heal or reposition yourself.
Method 2:
The second method is to lure them to the area where you picked up the Decider. You can shoot at them while on top of the stairs that you went up earlier, then they will take their time trying to get to you. You can continue to shoot at them while luring them to the corridor where the Ball Lightning anomaly is. Wait for the anomaly to come near, then lure the Burers into the corridor. They will instantly die from being zapped to death.
Take The Loot From The Stash
This is an optional objective, but you can collect some rare items this way. To find the Stash, go back down the stairs where the Burers were, and right beside the stairs are some wooden cable drums. Check within these drums to find the Stalker’s Stash, which contains a Bear Detector, some grenades and ammo. Before you leave the area, there is a dead body of Eight Ball nearby. Check the body for a PDA, which you can ask Mytryk about after you get to the surface.
You are now ready to leave, but before that pick up all your dropped weapons and artifacts. There are also two secret safes here where you can collect the Black Frame And Camel Hydration System blueprint for the SEVA-D, as well as a Aeroprotection Gas Mask. After that, head back to the corridor where the Lightning Anomaly was and go down the end of the corridor to find a steel door. Go past the door and follow the corridor, the ladder that will take you to the exit will be on your left.
Talk To Mytryk Genius
You will find Mytryk near your exit point, talk to him to ask about Sashko Eight Ball’s body. This will give you some insights about Mytryk’s lies, and how he made his companions risk their lives. You can make a choice here, to either give him his gun back or keep it.
The better option here is to keep the Decider assault rifle, as this is the only reward you will get from completing this quest. Or if you are feeling particularly nasty, you can hand it over to him, then shoot him after the quest is marked completed. Loot his corpse to get the gun back.
