If you are having a difficult time in the zone, then having some good gear might cheer up your mood when you are getting cornered by anomalies of all types. One of the best early guns in the game is the Reimann SMG, you don’t have to spend any money to get the weapon, it is part of the side quest. Here in the guide, we have listed out all the steps to recover the Reimann SMG and crack the safe code in the Barracks down at Rostok to get even more goods for the journey.
Major Note: If you don’t own the Ultimate or Deluxe edition of the game you will not have any access to the Reimaan SMG, it is part of the Journalist’s Stash location. Owning the Stalker 2 Ulitmate or Deluxe edition unlocks the quest where you can get the reward.
Reimann SMG Location in Stalker 2
The Reimann SMG is hidden inside a stash. Opening the stash is easy, but finding it will be difficult, as it is part of the side quest “Seek and You Shall Find.” The side quest opens automatically after you visit the town of Zalissya and finish the main quest “A Needle in a Haystack.”
Follow the objective marker to obtain the Journalist’s Flash Drive from your stash to reveal all the stash locations on the map. Here we are free to get 12 of these Journalist’s Stash all over the Lesser Zone but the gun we are after is hidden in the Journalist’s Stash in Rostok.
How To Get To Rostok
Rostok marks the sixth Journalist Stash and is located north of the first area of the game – the Lesser Zone. Get inside the barracks, via the main entrance on the east. Once you make your way into the large room, you will come across way too many Gravitational anomalies. Use your bolts to disable them and reach the far-right area of the room to find the Journalist’s Stash next to the bunk bed on the floor. Open the stash to recover the Riemann SMG.
If you explore the barracks you will find a safe with a keypad in a room with a wooden plank at the entrance. From the main entrance, turn left to enter a large room, throw the bolts to take care of gravitational anomalies, and immediately turn right to walk on the wooden planks on the ground to get into the room with the safe.
Rostok Safe Code Puzzle Solution
Just enter 195726 to crack the code to the puzzle.
The code is tied to three different-ranking soldiers. We will find two of the soldiers inside the barracks but the third one will be located at the bunker down south.
- The first soldier next to the safe will have one of the codes for the password.
- The second soldier is located at the opposite end of the barracks. Here we will recover another line of code.
- The third soldier will be located in a bunker southwest of the barracks carrying the final part of the password.
- The third one is difficult as you will have to fight Burer; one of the most difficult enemies in the game.
Once you recover all the codes, head back to the barracks at Rostok and enter the code in the keypad to unlock the safe.
