What sets Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl apart from its predecessor is the many quests, side quests, and choices you make in the game. As you keep exploring more areas in the game and interact with the new NPCs, you can pick up new objectives that will lead you to locate new items like weapons, stashes, and artifacts.
Sometimes during a quest, you can pick up certain weapons which are especially handy while trying to fight off the mutants in the game. During the quest Warlock’s Debtor, you have a chance to pick up an AKM-74S that belongs to Valik Lummox. In this guide we tell you exactly how to go about getting this gun.
How To Start the Warlock’s Debtor Side Quest In Stalker 2
The Warlock’s Debtor side quest is initiated by the bartender in Zalissya Bar. During the main story quest called Behind Seven Seals, you will be tasked with heading to the bar to get more info about Solder. While talking to Warlock the bartender at any random time, you can ask him to give you a job, thus starting the Warlock’s Debtor side quest.
Valik Lummox Location in Stalker 2
After accepting Warlock’s job offer, you will be tasked with finding someone called Valik Lummox. This person owes the bartender a lot of money, and if you successfully complete the job, you can claim a portion of the profits. To find Valik Lummox, head over to the water tower north of Zalissya.
Along the way, you will find a couple of bandits loitering around outside a building. Speak to them and agree with what the leader has to say to avoid an altercation. You can then speak to Valik through the broken window to tell him that Warlock had sent you.
Valik Lummox’s AKM-74S Location
You get info on Valik’s stash, which is located on top of the water tower. Use the ladder to get all the way up to the roof to get it. Inside the stash is where you can collect the AKM-74S scoped assault rifle and related ammo for the gun. While you do have a powerful weapon at your disposal, you also have a choice to make here.
You get a radio message from Valik telling you to shoot at the bandits from the water tower to help him out. You can either do that, or get down and talk to the Bandits to hand over what you found.
Hand Over The Loot To The Bandits Or Shoot Them?
While in both cases you will inevitably get into a fight with the bandits, the best outcome here is to shoot at all the bandits from the water tower, which will make the quest easier to complete. Successfully killing off all the Bandits will set Valik free, and you can keep the gun as well as receive 900 Coupons.
If you want to see how the other choice plays out, it’s really no different than the choice mentioned above. Once you get down and talk to the Bandits to return the loot, they won’t care about the weapon inside. They are looking for a certain Artifact instead, and since you don’t have it, you will be attacked. However, the fight down on the ground is a lot more challenging than what it could have been while you were up on the water tower, but the rest of the choice outcome remains the same.
There are no repercussions to your choice during the Warlock’s Debtor quest, and you still get to walk away with the AKM-74S and complete it. But some choices in Stalker 2 do have some consequences, and you can check out our guides on the ones about killing Squint or helping The Ninth in Stalker 2.
