In RuneScape Dragonwilds, before you can venture out to tougher territories, it is a good idea to upgrade your tools and gear. This helps to defeat tougher enemies and farm rare resources. But to craft the next tier of your equipment, you need to find the right workstations and resources to unlock them. This guide will show you how you can quickly upgrade your gear and tools in RuneScape Dragonwilds.
How To Upgrade Equipment In RuneScape Dragonwilds
You need to first unlock the Smithing Table and the Furnace to unlock the next tier equipment recipes. Your first task is to get a Furnace at your base, and for that you need to unlock the Furnace recipe. To unlock the Furnace recipe, craft one Bronze Bar, which requires 3x Tin Ore, 3x Copper Ore and 1x Charcoal. You can also farm Bronze from Bronze Nodes in Fractured Plains, and the location is marked above. Once you have the Furnace recipe unlocked, you will require the following materials to craft it.
- Stone x24
- Clay x8
- Charcoal x4
- Fire Rune x10
- Vault Shard x8
Clay can be found around the entrance between Whispering Swamp and Fractured Plains, while Charcoal can be made by placing Ash Logs into the Kiln. Fire Runes can be crafted at the Rune Altar after reaching Level 13 Runecrafting, or you can get them in chests or by unlocking Goblin Packs. Vault Shards are found inside Vaults and drops from Guardians or found inside Vault Chests. Now that you have all the materials, you can build your Furnace. Make sure that the Furnace is placed outside your base.
After unlocking the Furnace, you can unlock the recipe to craft the Smithing Forge, and having this workbench will help you craft Tier 2 and higher equipment. For Tier 2 equipment, you need to gather Bones and Leather as one of the crafting components. A quick way to gather bones is to use the Bark to Bone spell. This is an Artisan skill that unlocks at level 11, and you can aim the spell on any tree and turn it into bones. Leather can be obtained by using animal scraps and rawhide at the Tannery, and once you have leather and bone, you can craft a couple of simple Tier 2 equipment.
