RuneScape 3’s Halloween Event for 2025 brings new Seasonal Quests to the game, and the Guys and Dolls Quest requires you to help Guy and Doyle add more colour to the Harvest Hollow. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, it is and it isn’t. While the Quest itself isn’t hard to complete, you need a few items during its progression. With that being said, here’s how you can easily complete the Guys and Dolls Quest in RuneScape 3:
Talk to Guy and Dolly to Obtain Dyes
To begin the Guys and Dolls Quest in RuneScape 3, talk to Guy by the bonfire in the Harvest Hollow. Upon interacting with him, he’ll ask you to bring more colour to the hollow, and then tells you to go and find Dolly at the southern docks in the City of Um. Dolly is another gnome ghost, same as Guy, and she’s the one you need for gnomish firelighters.
Next, head to the southern docks in the City of Um and find Dolly. Interact with her to get tasked with finding specific dyes for her firelighters, which are tough to find in the underworld. She’ll ask for red dye, blue dye, purple dye and green dye, and here’s where you’ll be able to obtain them in RuneScape 3:
- Red Dye: There are a couple of ways to obtain red dye in RuneScape 3. You can make red dye with 3 redberries or by giving 5 Coins to Aggie in Draynor Village, or by Rana the Dyer in Pollnivneach. You can purchase red dye for 6 Coins from Orowen at Lletya Seamstress. Thirdly, you can trade red dye from the Grand Exchange, located northwest of Varrock, for around 10,000 Coins.
- Blue Dye: Blue dye can be made from 2 woad leaves (purchased at Falador’s park) or by asking Aggie the witch to make one for 5 Coins. You can also purchase it from either Rana the Dyer for 25 Coins or at Lletya Seamstress for 6 Coins. As for trading blue dye from the Grand Exchange, you need around 4,000 Coins to purchase it.
- Purple Dye: After you’ve obtained the red dye and the blue dye, combine both of them to create a purple dye. Alternatively, you can purchase purple dye from the Great Exchange for around 4,000 Coins.
- Green Dye: You need to combine blue dye and yellow dye to create green dye. It can be purchased from Lletya Seamstress for 6 Coins. Green dye is also available to trade at the Great Exchange for around 5,000 Coins.
Overall, the most guaranteed way to obtain the four dyes is to trade them in exchange for Coins at the Great Exchange. Sure, it will cost you some hard-earned Coins, but it’s completely doable since the cost isn’t that expensive. Once you’ve obtained the dyes, return to Dolly, and she’ll ask you to return to Guy with a note that says she requires pumpkins.
Gather an Ancient Torso or a Muspah Spine & Talk to Doyle
The next step is to obtain an Ancient Torso or Muspah Spine to progress this quest in RuneScape 3. Return to Harvest Hollow and talk to Guy again to give him Dolly’s request for pumpkins. He’ll further task you with helping Doyle in the pumpkin patch to the west of Harvest Hollow to grow Dolly’s pumpkins. Now, before talking to Doyle, you need to obtain either an Ancient Torso or a Muspah Spine. Here’s how you can obtain them in RuneScape 3:
- Ancient Torso: Can be obtained from one of the ancient remains in Harvest Hollow. Players can head to the remains and try their luck at finding the torso before talking to Doyle at Harvest Hollow. It only takes a few minutes to search through ancient remains, and you’ll eventually get the required torso in no time.
- Muspah Spine: Can be obtained as a common drop from Nightmare, Bladed Muspah, Throwing Muspah, Force Muspah and Nightmares on Freneskae.
Once you’ve obtained either of these items, talk to Doyle at the western edge of the pumpkin patch, and give him the Ancient Torso or the Muspah Spine to assist him in scaring away the crows and start growing the required pumpkins for Guy. Now, you can help him grow pumpkins as well.
All you have to do now is return to Guy and interact with him about the pumpkins. You’ll learn that Dolly has held up her end, and a colourful bonfire is now prepared to be lit at Harvest Hollow, which will complete the Guys and Dolls Quest in RuneScape 3.

Here are the Guys and Dolls Quest rewards that you obtain after completion in RuneScape 3:
- 10,000 Spooky Tokens
- Wendle, the wicker boy pet (only skin if base pet is already unlocked)
- Farming and Firemaking skilling activities in Harvest Hollow
- Previous Halloween Event emotes, if not already unlocked
- 2 Treasure Hunter Keys (Ironman accounts excluded)
