All Secret Ship Upgrades Explained in Rimworld Odyssey
There are three secret upgrades that you can get for your Gravship, and the only way to get all the new upgrades is to complete the new Odyssey DLC quests. With each quest you complete, you get a chance to obtain the following upgrades in the game.
Fuel Optimizer
The Fuel Optimizer is an important component in helping you save up fuel while using the Gravship during flight. You can utilize up to two Fuel Optimizers, making it easier to manage how much fuel your ship’s thrusters require. Each Fuel Optimizer will cut down the fuel cost by -200 Chemfuel, and two of them together will lessen the fuel cost by more than half.
Gravship Shield Generator
This unique equipment creates a shield to protect the Gravship from external harm. You can still shoot out from within, but whatever is outside cannot harm your ship. This shield is temporary and lasts just 3 in-game hours or 100 seconds, and after it is done, it will enter a 4 hour cooldown.
It should be connected to the Grav Engine at all times to charge it up. The Shield Generator is usable once the generator HP has hit 100+. The Gravship can support up to two Shield Generators at a time, so you can use up the other shield while one of them charges up.
Pilot Subpersona Core
The Subpersona Core helps the Gravship navigate through space and prevents accidents. If you check the Gravship Launch menu without the Subpersona Core, you will notice that the chances of accidents is high and the expected quality is low. With just one core, the quality gets a +30% hike and a 15% decrease in accidents. Equipping two of them will improve your chances drastically.
