Path Of Exile 2: How To Get & Use Sacrificial Heart

In Path of Exile 2, you might have a chance encounter with several important items to help better your build. The game does not make finding these items easy, there is a fair bit of exploration and chance that plays a role here. One such item is the Sacrificial Heart, and it is a pretty neat item to get. If you are looking for the easiest way to get your hands on this, then you have come to the right place. In this guide we have all the details on how to get and use the Sacrificial Heart in Path of Exile 2.

You can get Sacrificial Heart in Act 3, after killing enemies around the various regions. Two particular regions have a higher drop rate for the Sacrificial Heart. Visiting Aggorat and Utzaal and killing Vaal Goliath and Overseer enemies here offer a higher chance of getting a Sacrificial Heart. You would have visited both locations during the Glory of the Vaal quest. Usually, the quest will lead you to Utzaal first, where you need to defeat the Viper Napuatzi boss to gain access to Aggorat.

Upon reaching either of the locations, you need to grind for the Sacrificial Heart. In case you end up clearing both areas but are unable to claim the Sacrificial Heart, then you can always reset enemy spawns. To do that, use a waypoint, then press CTRL+Left Click on either Aggorat or Utzaal, whichever region you wish to spawn into. You will get a fresh map with new enemy spawns, and you can continue to farm this way till you get the required item.

Once you have this elusive item, you can take it to a ritual altar in Aggorat. Again, the spawn point for the altar is random, but it will always appear in a place called Blood Sacrifice which comes within the Trail of Sacrifice area. There will be a checkpoint near some corpses, so you can use that as an indicator to reach the altar. Once you find the altar, you will be met by an Elite guarding it. Defeat it, which shouldn’t take too much time, then place the Sacrificial Heart on the Altar. Use the Sacrificial Dagger on it and select the option for Blood Sacrifice.

After the ritual is completed, you can gain two Weapon Specialization Points in Normal mode and above. When doing the ritual in Cruel mode, you gain two extra Weapon Set Passive Skill Points. Weapon Specialization Points can help finetune your build with the passive skills that you want on your weapons. You can use one per weapon, giving them added stats and a boost in their abilities. While Sacrificial Hearts are not tied to any questline, you can still check out some of our Path of Exile 2 quest guides like A Crown Of Stone and Treasures Of Utzaal.
