Path of Exile 2 has many ways to obtain Waystones and upgrade them to your liking. Waystones add modifiers to the map locations; which make for interesting game mechanics. If you are scared of running out of Waystones, then this guide will help you out. Some of the Waystones show up with additional modifiers; which will directly influence the Waystone find chance.
Waystones In Path Of Exile 2 Explained
Rule Number 1: Having Waystones will lead to more Waystone drops.
When you unlock the Atlas System; which is a way into the end-game section of Path of Exile 2, Doryani will hand you your first Waystone (Low-Tier) to kick off the gameplay changes. There are 16 different Waystone Tiers in the game, Tier 1 being the lowest of the list, and Tier 16 being an incredibly rare item in the game.
Once you slot a Waystone to a map, you will experience more Waystone drops within the gamp. The number of drops will correlate to the active modifiers present in the slotted Waystone.
The Waystone dropping will be level-gated to your level. Here you will have to resort to upgrading to experience a better outcome. What can you do here?
- Eliminate Bosses in the Area, taking down rare enemies will drop Waystones.
- Always go after higher-level monsters to see frequent Waystone drops.
- Waystone with modifiers is thousands of times better than Waystones with none.
- Invest heavily in Atlas Passive, it will be the only way to sustain the Waystones in the game.
How To Get More Waystones In Path Of Exile 2
In addition to the above points on increasing Waystone drops, there are three ways we can obtain Waystones in Path of Exile 2.
- Trading with People
- Buying Waystones from Doryani
- Crafting it with a Reforging Bench
Trading with People
You can trade Waystones with other players online. It’s not going to be free, but some people do tend to give it away without asking for anything in return. Most of the time, you will see a skyrocketing price attached to the Waystones in trading.
Buying Waystones from Doryani
Let’s assume, Path of Exile 2 is not working on your side and you are seeing no Waystone drop in the map. Don’t lose hope, if you can’t get it; just buy them with gold.
You can obtain Waystones by purchasing them from Doryani. A store-bought Waystone will be tied to your level, meaning you will only have access to Waystone which will be near your character level.
You have the option for high-tier Waystones, but prepare to let go of your Wallet if you are reaching for them from a vendor. All the Waystones will come with no Modifer from Tier 1 to 3.
Note: A Waystone with modifiers will raise the chance of Waystone dropping from enemies. Under each Waystone Modifier, pay attention to the Waystone Drop Rate.
Doryani’s Waystone inventory will be updated once you use high-end Waystones in the game world.
Crafting it with a Reforging Bench
The third option has us using the Reforging Bench to craft the Waystones. Here on the bench, use a pack of three Waystones (Same Level) and hit Reforge to get a Waystone. You can’t craft Waystones that belong to a different tier group. The reforging bench allows you to add the Waystones belonging to the same Tier.
