The True Treasure quest in Palia follows the tale of Prismbeard, a legendary pirate who has left behind a treasure for us to hunt down. While doing these quests, we visit different places, each with a special connection to the pirate, with a statue leading us from one location to the other. This guide will show you how to get to each of these locations, as well as complete the final puzzle to claim the treasure left behind.
How To Complete The True Treasure Quest In Palia
Your first order of business to start this quest will be talking to Caleri in Elderwood, near Central Stables. Ask her about Prismbeard. Once you’ve exhausted the conversation, you’ll receive newspaper clippings about Prismbeard, which are approximately 10 pages long.
Head back to Kilima Village and talk to Auni. Inform Auni and Nai’o that you got some information about Prismbeard. Finish the conversation and your quest will get updated to find Prismbeard’s childhood home. The location we’re looking for can be found on the 2nd page in the newspaper clipping given to us by Caleri!
To move on with the quest, head to grid A4, in Mauvais Way. Climb the first rock and interact with the statue. Once you’ve talked to the statue, head back to Auni, who will already be there.
The next spot to visit is where he sailed toy boats with his brother. You can check out what this place looks like from page 4 of the newspaper clipping, but don’t worry, you don’t have to figure out where it is by yourself, we’ll tell you exactly where to go.
This location is towards the entrance of Deep Woods from Central Stables. As you enter Deep Woods, you’ll find a body of water to your right, at F6. Chat with the statue at the end of the broken bridge in this location, and head to Auni and Nai’o to further update the quest.
Our next location is where Prismbeard first set sail! Riffle through to page 6 of the newspaper clippings to find out what this place looks like. The location is where all boats set sail, De Mer Dock! More specifically, the B8 grid where the statue will be waiting for you. Interact with the statue and head back to Auni and Nai’o, and move on with the quest.
Your next location will be in Central Stables, the root of the quest. The statue will be located in the F4 grid, on the top, which you can reach by climbing the rope wall in the centre. As usual, after the interaction with that statue, update the quest by heading back to Auni and Nai’o and striking up a conversation.
One of the final locations to get to is where Prismbeard escaped, which is on Mitana Grove, at G2 grid.
Next, we have to find Eobard’s Revenge, which is the name of his ship. To move on with the quest, first fast travel to De Mer Dock. Head towards C8. You’ll spot a small hole in the wall that’ll lead to a hidden cave.
Take a left from the cave, and another left to slide down. You’ll drop down into an open area with many diversions, but don’t worry. Just take the stairs to your left from where you land, leading up into a cave. Head straight through the cave, and you’ll reach another open area, and you’ll see the statue on a platform. After the conversation with the statue is over, talk to Auni, who’ll be to your left, overlooking the cliff. After your talk with Auni, head into the room to solve the final puzzle.
Palia: The True Treasure Puzzle Solution
The puzzle is pretty straightforward. The clues will be given on the scrolls for each of the wheels. But do not fret! All you have to do is align the wheels to the shapes/colors as given below. (Be careful! If you’re reading the scrolls for the hint, the directions will be with respect to your compass; the given solutions’ directions are with respect to the wheels facing the door in front of them)
- East Wheel – Purple ‘S’ shaped monster on top
- South Wheel – Orange Eye on top
- West Wheel – Dark Blue Mermaid on top
- North Wheel – Turquoise Squid/Kraken on top
After you’ve aligned all the wheels to the monsters, head back to the button and press ‘Check Guess’ and voila! A secret door will open with the treasure chest glowing within arm’s reach.
Once you open the chest, you’ll get Prismbeard’s Journal, 1 Emerald, 1 Garnet, 1 Pearl, 2 Gold Bars and 1 Prismbeard’s Figurehead! Talk with Auni and Nai’o to officially complete the quest!
