As odd as it sounds, Polluted Water is an important resource in Once Human. You don’t use it for drinking but instead can turn it into Acid, a precious crafting resource used to make Ingots. You can use a Stardust Water Pump to turn it into a Stardust Source, but the first step, of course, is to find Polluted Water.
There are a couple of Polluted Areas in Once Human where you can build a base to easily access this crafting ingredient. In this guide, we will showcase some of the best ones. Let’s get started.
Polluted Areas Map in Once Human
Stardust Polluted Areas in Once Human are pretty scarce, but there are a few areas that you can go to and make a base to extract Polluted Water. We’ve compiled some of the locations where you’ll be able to harvest this crafting material:
Red Sands: Blackfell Fallen Zone
Red Sands is a level 43 region in Once Human, so expect to face tough enemies in the area. However, if you’re well equipped to handle the region, there’s a small lake of Polluted Water near the Blackfell Fallen Zone.
Red Sands: North of Fort Eyrie
You can head north from Fort Eyrie in the same region to find another source of Impure Water and set up a base there. We’ve marked the location for you in the image above to make things easier.
Red Sands: Evergreen
Evergreen is another good place to build a base and passively extract Polluted Water from Once Human.
Red Sands: Alternative Reality Institute Shoreline
The shoreline northeast of the Alternative Reality Institute is another good source of Polluted Water. Building a base here also lets you conduct high-level research activities.
Chalk Peak: North West Corner
Chalk Peak is another excellent location for Once Human players to set up a remote base. The northwest corner of this region has plenty of Polluted Water that you can extract to make Acids in the game. The exact coordinates are 1297, 2716.
It’s quieter than the Red Sands region, but the area is still level 30+, so you want to bring some firepower if you want to set up a base there.
Blackheart Region: East of White Cliff
Blackheart region is only for late-game players since you’ll have to be above level 50 to tackle its dangers. But the hill located east of the White Cliff region is densely populated, which means it’s a prime spot if you want to harvest Polluted Water. For what it’s worth, it’s a low-traffic area, which means minimal PVE activity for you to worry about.
Iron River: Ricci Securement Tower
The Ricci Securement Tower in the Iron River region has a small underwater settlement. It’s entirely covered by Pollutants, which makes it an excellent spot to start extracting Polluted Water. The exact coordinates are: 4658, 2566
Extracting Polluted Water in Once Human
Before you can start harvesting Polluted Water in Once Human, you need to build a Water Pump. You need to unlock it from your Memetics menu. It costs five Memetic Points and 2000 Energy Links to unlock. You can find it in the Logistics category, and you’ll need the following resources to craft it:
- 25x Steel Ingots.
- 20x Refined Parts.
- 20x Electric Accessories.
- 20x Standard Parts.
- 20x Carbon Fiber Fabrics.
Here’s how you can extract Polluted Water once you’ve got the Water Pump:
- Set up your base right next to the water.
- Build Water Pumps and connect them to the tanks in your base
- Purify the collected water using an Osmosis Water Purifier and turn it into Impure Acid.
- Process the Impure Acid in a Brewing Barrel to get Pure Acid.
