Once Human: Best Fishing Locations On Map

Once Human puts your survival skills to the test as you brave the monster-infested post-apocalyptic world scavenging for resources. One of the essential resources you’ll need for survival is, of course, food. And as it turns out, fishing is a great way to secure it if you know the right spots.

In this guide, we’ll give you the best fishing locations in the game so that you can gather as much food as you want in Once Human. Let’s get started.

Best Fishing Locations In Once Human

The world of Once Human is huge. Here are some of the best fishing spots in the game:

    Dayton Wetlands

Dayton Wetlands has an excellent fishing spot near the river beside the Deadsville hub on the southwest section at the coordinates (-5968, -5626). Since the area doesn’t have too many PVP or PVE activities, you can catch all the fish you like without getting into fights. The nearby Teleportation Tower also makes it easy for you to get in and out of this area quickly.

For saltwater fishes, you want to travel to coordinates (7751, -4928) to get to Petit Harbor. It’s near the Coastside Plaza Teleportation Tower, and while there are some minor PVE activities in the area, you should be able to handle them pretty easily.

    • Freshwater Fishes: Tilapia, Carp, Sunfish, Sucker Fish, Oscar Fish
    • Saltwater Fishes: Pompano, Barracuda, Mackerel, Sardine, Electric Eel

    Broken Delta

In the Broken Delta, head for the massive lake in the middle of the region at coordinates (4690, -6710). You’ll find a couple of jetties and piers along the lake where you can start to fish. However, the area has a lot of bandit activity, so be sure to bring some firepower with you for this freshwater fishing spot.

You’ll also find an empty beach at coordinates (3486, -7256) if you want to catch saltwater fish in the region. A nearby Teleportation Tower south of the Junkyard makes it easy to travel back and forth to this area.

    • Freshwater Fishes:  Arowana, Bighead, Cap, Carp, Sucker Fish, Oscar Fish, Koi Cap, Tilapia
    • Saltwater Fishes: Angelfish, Electric Eel, Seabass, Largemouth Black Bass, Northern Pike, Longnose Gar, Guppy

    Iron River

In Iron River, head northeast from the Greywater Camp, and you’ll run into a pier leading out into the river at coordinates (5680, -3073). To sweeten the deal, you can also buy all the bait you need from a nearby merchant named Margerie. It’s an excellent place for freshwater fishing in the region.

You’ll find a similar-looking spot at coordinates (7688, -3270) in the region that’s good for saltwater fishing. Margerie will also have a shop at this location.

    • Freshwater Fishes: Koi Carp, Tilapia, Oscar Fish, Sucker Fish, Sunfish, Carp
    • Saltwater Fishes: Sardine, Mackerel, Barracuda, Electric Eel.

    Chalk Peak

On the northern edge of Chalk Peak, you’ll find another dock on the river at coordinates (-178, -2200). This is a great spot for freshwater fishing in this region. But make sure you unlock the nearby Teleportation Towers first.

Alternatively, you can travel to coordinates (7688, -3270) for saltwater fishing and arrive at a nice little beach free of enemy activities.

    • Freshwater Fishes: Salmon, Carp, Bighead Carp, Rainbow Trout, Arowana
    • Saltwater Fishes: Northern Pike, Largemouth Black Bass, Longnose Gar

    Red Sands

Head to coordinates (4991, -1711) in the Red Sands region, and you’ll find a couple of riverbanks where you can catch a variety of freshwater fish. Make sure you steer clear of the Oil Fields since it’s crawling with monster activities.

To find saltwater fishes, head to the far northeast of Red Sands near the border at coordinates (7255, 95). You’ll find Margerie here once again to help you stock up on baits. The lack of any PVP and PVE activity makes it an excellent spot to fish for hours.

    • Freshwater Fishes: Carp, Bighead Carp, Largemouth Black Bass
    • Saltwater Fishes: Mackerel, Sardine, Barracuda, Electric Eel

That brings us to the end of this article. For more tips and info on the game, feel free to check out our other guides, such as How to Fish and How To Get The Fetch-a-Lot Bunny Deviant.
