Yokai Teardrops are a form of currency in Nioh 3, allowing players to exchange them for various goodies from merchants. Unlike Gold and Amrita, though, Yokai Teardrops are extremely rare and pretty hard to come by.

However, there are ways to speed up the process of finding Yokai Teardrops in Nioh 3, as long as you put in the effort. Knowing how to get Yokai Teardrops faster will help you purchase more valuable items from merchants, making your adventure more manageable.

If you’re looking to find a way to acquire Yokai Teardrops, without having explore everywhere, this guide is for you. Here’s the best way to get Yokai Teardrops in Nioh 3.

The absolute best way to get Yokai Teardrops in Nioh 3 is by completing Battle Scroll missions from the Shrine Menu. While not all Battle Scroll missions offer Yokai Teardrops as a reward, there are a good amount that do. You can tell which Battle Scroll mission will reward Yokai Teardrops by viewing the reward section at the bottom of the mission page.

Since players need to complete an entire Battle Scroll mission in order to earn the Yokai Teardrops reward, I recommend choosing one that is not very long. I also recommend choosing a mission that is from the earlier parts of the game since they will have weaker enemies, making it easier to complete

For example, The Demon of the Haunting Caves is a short mission filled with low level enemies, meaning you can breeze through it pretty quickly and claim the Yokai Teardrops reward. The final boss of the mission is also on the easier side, especially if you’re level 50 or above.

I personally recommend just sprinting through the mission, past all the enemies, and go straight to the boss. After running through a Battle Scroll mission enough times, you will start to remember the quickest route to the end. This is a much faster way to get Yokai Teardrops, rather than fighting all enemies within a mission.

Completing Battle Scroll missions will generally reward you with two Yokai Teardrops, sometimes three. That is a lot considering how rare the item is.

In case you were wondering, there are other ways to get Yokai Teardrops in Nioh 3. However, they aren’t as efficient and may take awhile.

For starters, players can get Yokai Teardrops by defeating Formidable Enemies, such as bosses. Players can also get Yokai Teardrops by resting in Hot Springs, which are well hidden in each region of the game.

Some regions have one Hot Spring to find, others have two. And, unfortunately, some regions don’t have any Hot Springs to find. To get these locations revealed on the map, you have to raise your Exploration Level or discover them naturally through exploration.

    How to Use Yokai Teardrops

Yokai Teardrops can be used at merchants in exchange for valuable items. The merchant you’ll most consistently trade with is the one at Eternal Rift, located next to the Blacksmith. Speak to this merchant and select “Exchange” to trade in Yokai Teardrops.

Some of the items you can purchase with Yokai Teardrops include the following: Herbal Remedy, Summoner’s Candle, Memorandum, Secret Skills Text, and much more. The merchant at Eternal Rift even sells Soul Cores in exchange for Yokai Teardrops.
