MIO: Memories In Orbit – All Mel’s Scrapper Locations

Very early on in MIO, you’ll come across a robot called Mel trapped in a doorway near the ‘Spine Elevator’. Releasing them will give you access to a workshop with new mods and upgrades.

However, Mel will inform you that they don’t have anything beyond a very basic selection, and to unlock their full inventory, you’ll need to explore the world and find Mel’s Scrappers.

There are three of them to find, and finding them all will have you unlock an achievement titled ‘The Pie’.

Here is a rundown of the scrapper locations and how to free each of them from their predicament.

    How To Find Mel

    Mel Location MIO

Before you can get started on finding these Scrappers, you’ll need to release Mel from the doorway she is trapped.

You’ll want to ride the elevator to ‘Apartments’ and then work your way down through Dwellings until you reach the other side of the door.

When you release them, you’ll then be able to ride the elevator right down to the bottom again, and she will be setting up shop.

Now that you have the workshop up and running, here is where to find all the little helpers. We have listed them in the most likely order you will find them.

    Sin

    MIO Sin Location

Which of the first two Scrappers you find will largely depend on whether you spend time exploring Haven or Metropolis most. However, I personally found Sin first, so I’ll go with them to start.

Sin is located below Metropolis in Foundations. To access them, you will need to defeat Calderon and gain the Old Fashioned Key.

Then, when exploring the newly accessible area, if you head to the area of the map shown above, you’ll find your first Scrapper.

    Cos

    MIO Cos Location

Cos is located in the upper right region of Haven. You first need to head right of the bridge with two Hairpin points, and you’ll come to an area with a container and a bunch of enemies dotted around. Defeat these enemies and this will make some blue and purple bouncy flowers to appear.

Use these to head to the area directly above, where you’ll find Cos hiding in the bushes. You’ll need to beat four chameleon enemies and then Cos will head back to The Nexus.

We have also included the exact location on the map above.

    Tan

This one will almost definitely the last Scrapper you will find to complete the collection. This Scrapper can be found pretty early on in Metropolis at the area shown on the map here.

Problem is that the air vent pushing them to the ceiling can’t be turned off without the wall crawling ability acquired deep within Foundations.

To get this, you first need to defeat Atmos. Then you need to head along the revealed path, working through the tricky platforming sequence that leads to the room where you get the Striders.

After this, head back to the fan, hit the switch to turn it off, and you’ll have found all the Scrappers to complete your collection.
