Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater – How to Kill The End Early

Since the boss list in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is quite extensive, you might try to find some shortcuts to bypass some of the bosses. Luckily, you get to defeat The End before the fight even begins, and there are a few ways to do that. This guide explains how to kill The End early in Metal Gear Solid Delta.

How to Skip “The End” Boss Battle in Metal Gear Solid Delta

There are two ways to kill The End before the actual boss fight with him: either kill him via sniping him, or change the game settings. The End is encountered right after fighting The Fear, and the boss fight occurs in the region of Sokrovenno. But you get to kill him way before that, once you reach the Ponizovje Warehouse Docks. You will get to this point after defeating The Pain, so you get to kill The End even before you reach The Fear.

There is even a nifty achievement to get for killing The End early in the game, so that is something to look out for while trying to get all the achievements for Metal Gear Solid. Now, let’s get on with viewing all the details to kill this boss below.

After defeating The Pain, you will escape the cave to reach Ponizovje South. While making your way through the waters here, keep an eye out to your left. There will be a small path branching off that takes you to Ponizovje West. There are guards blocking your way. Take them out and investigate the building to your right. You will get an SVD sniper rifle, place it in your hotbar, and return to Ponizovje South.

Keep going north to reach the Ponizovje Warehouse Docks. A cutscene will play out, where you will be introduced to The End. As soon as the cutscene ends and you get back to playing as Snake, pull out the sniper rifle and quickly snipe The End before he gets back into the warehouse. This will unlock The Early End trophy/achievement, and you won’t encounter him anymore. Instead, once you reach the boss location, you just have to fight the handful of Ocelot soldiers instead.

    Changing the System Clock

Keep playing the game normally till you reach the actual The End boss fight. Save your game just after the cutscene and exit the game. Change your clock settings on your console or system to more than a week later, at max two weeks. Load back into the game and load the save file where you were supposed to fight The End.

If you get a cutscene where you are tossed into prison, exit the game and change your clock date and time to extend a few more days. When you load back in, you should get a cutscene where The End dies of natural causes, thus ending the fight. Snake won’t get to fight the boss as he normally should, and the rest of the game will continue on without you fighting The End.

Should You Kill The End Early

While it may seem like an easy way out, you will miss out on some of the rewards by not killing The End. If you perform a non-lethal takedown, you get to own The End’s tranquilizer sniper rifle after the fight. Also, pointing your gun at his head for a few seconds more while he is down will make him drop his Moss Camo Uniform, which is a step up from the Leaf Camo Uniform.

Furthermore, the fight itself is worth taking time to do, as it is quite a challenge. This will test your skills and what you learned along the way. But it ultimately boils down to personal preference and how fast you wish to end the game.
