How to Escape the Prison Cell in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Just like how it was in the PS2 version of Metal Gear Solid 3, you are again locked up in Gronznyj Grad prison cell in Metal Gear Solid Delta. Unlike the original game, you don’t get any tips on making your escape, so you need to depend on items around you and piece together the solution. If you are having a hard time, keep reading below to know how to escape the prison cell in MGS Delta: Snake Eater.

All Ways to Escape Prison in Metal Gear Solid Delta

There are three ways to help Snake escape prison: either by using the fake death pill, making Snake throw up, or using a secret radio frequency. Some methods are easier to implement than others, and the easiest one to do is to throw up. Getting the death pill from deep within Snake’s body is a riskier method, but it does the job of getting you out.

As for the radio frequency, it is a bit lengthier to implement, since you are required to figure out the radio frequency first, then tune into that before you get the code to unlock your jail cell. Let’s take a look at each of these methods in detail below.

    Using the Fake Death Pill

You need to extract the pill using the fork that gets tossed into the cell, then head over to the cure menu to find out where the fake death pill has been stashed on your body. The pill has been generously left behind by The Boss inside Snake’s body before Snake got caught, and there are other items to check out while in the cure menu. Use the fork to pull out the pill and check your cell for its drop.

Pick it up and consume it, making Snake fake his death and fall to the ground. The guard will unlock the gate and step in to investigate, and the Snake is Dead screen will appear. Don’t take too long to implement the next step once this happens; as soon as the guard is inside the cell, pop the Revival Pill to regain consciousness. Take down the guard and make your escape.

    Use the Secret Frequency

Pull up your radio and tune into the frequency 144.75. You get to learn about this frequency number after accessing the previous torture cutscene. Get into first person view and zoom in on the sign held up by Sorrow, who is standing behind the other characters. Using this number will unlock the jail cell, helping you escape.

If this is too much work for you, the guard might also slip in the frequency number during a short cutscene. To make him do that, whenever you are handed food, toss it back at the guard. Keep doing this till you get a cutscene, then enter first-person mode and view the back of a photograph.

    Make Snake Sick

First, ensure that a guard is passing by your cell, then head into the cure menu and spin Snake around for 30 seconds. After you leave the menu, Snake will get dizzy, making him fall sick. The guard will come in to investigate; use this time to take him out and escape the prison cell.

Once you are out, your hardest task is yet to come. Try to navigate the halls without your equipment till you reach your final destination, after which you get to continue the rest of the gameplay in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. While you are inside the prison cell, utilize the Guy Savage Easter Egg, or collect all Kerotan and Ga-Ko collectibles in Dremuchij while exploring the region.
