Mandragora’s souls-like adventure brings in many secrets and mysteries that are hidden behind quest chains. One of the interesting quests in the game revolves around a Talking Skull. Finishing the quest rewards with good loot and the ability to deal with future foes. This is the guide to the Talking Skull quest side quest in Mandragora.
How To Get All 3 Bone Pieces In Talking Skull Quest
Head to Dilapidated Mausoleum, east of Old Elevator and above the Forgotten Catacombs. You will come across a Talking Skull next to a burning cauldron. The location is east of the Witch Stone in the Dilapidated Mausoleum. Talk to the Skull, by selecting the dialogue: A talking skull?” And then “Don’t Worry- I Won’t leave you like this.” This will kick off the Talking Skull quest in the game.
Now our objective is to find 3 missing bone pieces (Runed Leg Bones x1, Runed Arm Bones x1, and Runed Ribcage x1). All the bone pieces are located in different parts of the map. Here is the location for all of them.
#1. Runed Leg Bones Location| Dilapidated Mausoleum
The first bone is found in the same location as the Talking Skull. Make your way to the southeast of the Dilapidated Mausoleum.
You will come across a room with a ladder at the end. Make sure to be prepared for a fight, as on your right, you will find an enemy waiting for your arrival. Take the long ladder to the upper floor, then on your left, you will find a blue glowing object on the floor. Interact with the blue object to get the first Bone fragment.
#2| Runed Arm bones| Forgotten Catacombs
- Fast travel to the Witch Stone located in the Forgotten Catacombs, then start moving right until you see a ladder. You will find the ladder before the room filled with swinging axe pendulums.
- Take the ladder to the upper floor. After climbing a few ledges, you will again find another ladder taking you to the top. But unlike the last ladder, with this one we don’t have to go all the way to the top.
- Here, you need to make a jump to the platform on your right, where you will find a skeleton warrior with a crossbow aiming at you. That’s where you get off.
Once you land on the platform, start moving right, and after a few steps, you will find Runed Arm Bones at the end.
#3. Runed Ribcage| Catacomb Depths
Fast travel to the Witch Stone located in the Catacomb Depths. Once you are in the spot, move a bit to your right, and you will find a couple of enclosed jugs. Use your weapon to break the jugs to get many crafting materials, but more importantly, the last item, Runed Ribcage.
Final Boss Encounter
With all the bone parts collected, head back to the Dilapidated Mausoleum, where we encountered the Talking Skull. The Talking Skull will ask you to put all the bone parts into the burning cauldron in the room.
This will lead to the final boss in the quest, so make sure to be well prepared before you offer all the bone parts into the cauldron. Defeat the boss, you will get the Dark Echo ability along with some Linen Cloth, Arcane Core, and Bones as a reward.
