With the final ID of the year released, another season of Limbus Company is about to draw to a close. Between various events and the additions to Standard Fare, plenty of team comps got new tools they really needed, while a few strong options took off ahead of the pack.
We’re here to discuss one of those very options, Rupture. With the heavy focus on H-Corp during the season’s Canto, the myriad of additions made to the Heishou have given Rupture teams plenty of options to work with, but what’s the best possible team to run?
Below is a list of the best Rupture IDs to run actively, run as support, and why they’re so strong in the slots they occupy.
What Does Rupture Do?

For a quick explanation, Rupture is one of many status effects in Limbus Company. Attacks that inflict Rupture will add a bright greenish-blue marker beneath the affected unit with two numbers.
The left number is the Rupture’s Potency, signifying how much extra damage the affected unit will take from upcoming attacks. Certain IDs can cash in higher levels of Potency for additional effects.
The right number is the Rupture’s Count, indicating how many times the Rupture can be activated, lowering by one every time it is.
Balancing an enemy’s Rupture Potency and Count to maximize damage is the main challenge of running a Rupture team, so it’s paramount you bring units that can strike that balance.
Best Rupture Team At A Glance
Now on to the team itself. This comp assumes 7 party slots, but you can simply remove units you feel weaker on or don’t currently have.

Heishou Pack – Wu Branch Adept Yi Sang

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv. 55) | Bludgeon X1 Pierce X2 Slash X0.5 |
| Max Health | 254 |
| Base Speed | 4-7 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 3 |
| Skill 2 | 2 Coin +5 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
| Enhanced Skill 3 | 4 Unbreakable Coin +3 Base Power 5 |
| Defensive Skill | 1 Unbreakable Coin +10 Base Power 3 |
Expect to see plenty of members of the Heishou Pack amongst this team’s lineup, as they stack great Rupture and work better together.
Wu Yi Sang is infamous for being a great addition to bother Tremor and Rupture teams thanks to his high speed, ability to stack plenty of Rupture, and the flexibilty of his Clashable Guard. As silly as it sounds, being able to pump the brakes when you’re low on count and need other units to build it does wonders to save big stacks.
Otherwise, Wu Yi Sang himself is an absolute powerhouse. He hits hard, fast, and does great work keeping up count. His Enhanced Skill 3 is devastating, building Rupture Count and applying Concussion, amplifying the amount of damage Rupture deals.
Most of his skills can apply Concussion, but it’s guaranteed off of his Skill 3, so try and work around his passive to get it off ASAP. His sustain also makes Wu Yi Sang a strong tank in case you can’t win every clash, which is bound to happen.
Devyat’ Assoc. North Section 3 Rodion

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv. 55) | Bludgeon X2 Pierce X0.5 Slash X1 |
| Max Health | 239 |
| Base Speed | 4-7 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 3 |
| Skill 2 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
| Defensive Skill | 1 Coin +7 Base Power 9 |
| Enhanced Defensive Skill | 1 Coin +7 Base Power 9 |
Devyat Rodion is our selection, and she brings a concept to the team that is very welcome: not consuming Rupture once it’s above a certain count.
As long as the target’s Rupture Potency is 15 or higher and their Count is 3 or higher, Rodion’s skills don’t consume the Rupture.
This makes her great at dealing massive damage without even lowering the enemy’s Rupture, leaving the rest of the team free to pop it as Rodion continues to stack more Rupture.
She also has a retreat, synergizing very well with the Heishou and enabling us to plan for an eighth party member. Whenever she tags out, she also gains a shield based on a portion of her unique buff, getting some back when she tags out.
Cinq Assoc. West Section 3 Meursault

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv. 55) | Bludgeon X2 Pierce X0.5 Slash X1 |
| Max Health | 200 |
| Base Speed | 4-7 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 3 |
| Skill 2 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
| Defensive Skill | 1 Coin +10 Base Power 4 |
Cinq Assoc Meursault also gets to maintain Rupture on units that have more than 15 Potency and 3 Count, but he loses the ability to stack Rupture once the enemy hits that threshold.
Instead, Meursault deals wildly increased damage based on the enemy’s Rupture as long as they’re above those thresholds.
With his Poise stacking and his unique debuff for attacks on a single target, Cinq Assoc Meursault is a monster in focused encounters and boss fights. He brings massive, low requirement damage to a team all about hitting as hard as possible.
Heishou Pack – Mao Branch Adept Faust

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv.55) | Bludgeon X2 Pierce X1 Slash X0.5 |
| Max Health | 251 |
| Base Speed | 4-7 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 3 |
| Skill 2 | 2 Coin +6 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
| Enhanced Skill 3 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
| Defensive Skill | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
| Enhanced Defensive Skill | 1 Unbreakable Coin +10 Base Power 4 |
Heishou Pack Faust is one of the best units in the game, and she’s a massive boon to a full Rupture team.
Between her ridiculous speed, Deathrite Fissure’s Bind and bonus damage, and her unique ability to counter hits for unopposed attacks on allies, Faust really is the whole package.
Faust stacks an insane amount of Rupture Count, allowing other allies to focus on Potency and maximum damage without losing overall Rupture uptime. This would likely be enough to include her, but every other part of her kit makes her a must slot.
On top of being able to block for allies, with enough of her unique buffs Faust swaps her defensive skill out for a free cast of her Enhanced Skill 3, nuking whoever was foolish enough to attack her ally.
The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv. 55) | Bludgeon X2 Pierce X1 Slash X0.5 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 2 | 2 Coin 2 Unbreakable Coin +3 Base Power 3 |
| Skill 3 | 1 Unbreakable Coin +12 Base Power 10 |
| Combo Skill 3 Follow-Up | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 6 |
| Solo Skill 3 Follow-Up | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 6 |
| Defensive Skill | 1 Unbreakable Coin +7 Base Power 6 |
| Enhanced Defensive Skill | 1 Unbreakable Coin +8 Base Power 2 |
Here he is, Mr. Heishou enabler himself. Each of the Heishou Pace identities is strong on its own, but Lord Hong Lu’s buffs turn them into absolute monsters while enabling plenty of team building shenanigans.
It helps that, on his own, Lord Hong Lu is effective, and having multiple members of the Pack just makes him stronger. Rupture does just that, while his own poise buildup and conditionals keep him hitting hard.
Lord Hong Lu clashes better and hits harder based on the enemy’s Rupture. His unique Heishou Pack follow-ups allow members of the Pack to get unopposed Skill 3s off over and over, buffing him in the process.
This allows for massive Rupture buildup for very little setup, allowing Rupture comps to get rolling quickly.
His guard skill is unique in forcing a Heishou member to retreat, tagging in the next unit in the team lineup, and prioritizing other Heishou members. If Lord Hong Lu doesn’t have a good attack ready, you can just swap around other party members to continue cheating out heavy unopposed hits.
His passives also allow him to not only deny death once per fight, but also cancel the instant death after effect of his seasonal EGO. Overall, you just can’t go wrong with Lord Hong Lu, especially in a Rupture team.
Heishou Pack – Mao Branch Outis

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv 55) | Resists: Bludgeon X2 Pierce X1 Slash X0.5 |
| Max Health | 198 |
| Base Speed | 4-7 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +3 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 2 | 2 Coin +6 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
| Defensive Skill | 1 Coin +7 Base Power 5 |
Playing like a simpler version of Mao Faust, Mao Branch Outis focuses more on Rupture Potency than Count. She also applies her own version of Deathrite, applying additional Rupture Count as long as a 10+ speed ally is striking the enemy.
With how fast so many members of this team are, Outis can easily apply Deathrite Haste over and over.
Even more Rupture Count, even more increasingly stacking, unresistable damage. Just a strong addition to the team.
Heishou Pack – Mao Branch Ryoshu

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv 55) | Resists: Bludgeon X2 Pierce X1 Slash X0.5 |
| Max Health | 198 |
| Base Speed | 4-7 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 3 |
| Skill 2 | 2 Coin +6 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
| Defensive Skill | 1 Coin +8 Base Power 5 |
Mao Branch Ryoshu rounds out our main 7, playing very similarly to Mao Branch Outis. Both apply Deathrite Haste, both have the same passive, the only difference is that Ryoshu has better clashing, while Outis hits unopposed better.
While that makes both IDs a bit boring overall, their effectiveness, especially when paired, can’t be overstated.
They’re more of exactly what this team wants, ensuring high potency pops and the ability to clash with whatever enemy attack you want.
Bonus – Heishou Pack – You Branch Sinclair

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv. 55) | Resists: Bludgeon X2 Pierce X1 Slash X0.5 |
| Max Health | 213 |
| Base Speed | 4-6 |
| Skill 1 | 3 Coin +3 Base Power 2 |
| Skill 2 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 4 Coin +3 Base Power 4 |
| Defensive Skill | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
With Lord Hong Lu’s ability to swap around the party layout mid-fight, it’s smart to at least have an eighth member of the team ready for active combat. Of the available options, You Branch Sinclair fills the role best.
Bringing some extra Rupture is welcome enough, but You Branch Sinclair’s burn also stacks some easy damage, alongside his Skill 3 effect of dealing more damage based on the enemy’s missing HP.
Sinclair works as a great closer or temporary tag if need be. Sometimes you really can’t afford to let a specific ID die, and bringing at least one extra Heishou member can be the difference you need.
Sinclair is the 8th slot over Heathcliff thanks to his base EGO applying 12 Rupture, a great kickstart.
The Support Team
That leaves 4 sinners sitting on the bench, and while they aren’t as important as the previously mentioned members, they can do wonders to empower your lineup, or at least make it a bit more consistent.
Heishou Pack – Wei Branch Don Quixote

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv. 55) | Resists: Bludgeon X1 Pierce X2 Slash X0.5 |
| Max Health | 237 |
| Base Speed | 4-7 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 3 |
| Skill 2 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 4 Coin +3 Base Power 4 |
| Defensive Skill | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
Another Heishou member means another potential tag in, and Wei Branch Don brings a very nice Support Passive alongside her.
Her biggest boon to this team is that mentioned Support Passive, which grants the fastest ally the ability to apply Defense Level Down when they hit an enemy with 2+ Rupture or Sinking count.
Not only is that threshold stupid easy to hit, this team is always going to like extra damage.
Heishou Pack – You Branch Heathcliff

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv. 55) | Resists: Bludgeon X2 Pierce X1 Slash X0.5 |
| Max Health | 230 |
| Base Speed | 4-7 |
| Skill 1 | 3 Coin +3 Base Power 2 |
| Skill 2 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 4 Coin +3 Base Power 4 |
| Enhanced Skill 3 | 4 Unbreakable Coin +3 Base Power 5 |
| Defensive Skill | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 5 |
Working like a backup to Sinclair’s backup role, You Branch Heathcliff is another Heishou to add to the Pack, enhancing Lord Hong Lu and adding more swap options.
Heathcliff’s Support Passive adds a little extra clashing to the team, giving one unit under half health an additional clash power. Nice to have when things get hairy.
Heishou Pack – Si Branch Gregor

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv. 55) | Resists: Bludgeon X2 Pierce X1 Slash X0.5 |
| Max Health | 200 |
| Base Speed | 3-7 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 3 |
| Skill 2 | 3 Coin +4 Base Power 4 |
| Skill 3 | 1 Coin +14 Base Power 8 |
| Defensive Skill | 1 Unbreakable Coin +10 Base Power 3 |
Gregor doesn’t really have a combat passive that super helps Rupture out, so Si Gregor is here just to have another Heishou Member. Making a main stay like Lord Hong Lu stronger is never a bad call.
Family Hierarch Candidate Ishmael

| Stats (at Uptie 4 Lv. 55) | Resists: Bludgeon X0.5 Pierce X2 Slash X1 |
| Max Health | 195 |
| Base Speed | 3-7 |
| Skill 1 | 2 Coin +4 Base Power 3 |
| Skill 2 | 4 Coin +3 Base Power 2 |
| Skill 3 | 1 Unbreakable Coin +14 Base Power 8 |
| Tag In Skill | Unclashable 2 Coin +2 Base Power 2 |
| Defensive Skill | 1 Coin +10 Base Power 4 |
Without a Heishou ID of her own, Ishmael joins as a last resort team member that enables further swapping if need be.
Seeing her hit the field isn’t the worst, with plenty of Rupture and serious damage once she stacks her Poise, but there are simply better sinners for the job.
