One of the most fundamental parts of Last Epoch’s game activities is the Monoliths of Fate. These dungeons give you the best rewards to help you level up, especially during the endgame. These rewards include items, crafting materials, and keys. Alongside Dungeons and Arenas, Monoliths offer a great option for players to earn high-tier loot from repeatable activities after finishing the story.
However, these Monoliths can get quite messy the more you progress. Alongside the difficulty, the build-up of Corruption is an important factor. With the highest tier of loot on the line, this replayable activity for Last Epoch is worth the grind. So here is a guide on how to efficiently tackle the Monliths of Fate.
What are The Monoliths of Fate?
The Monoliths of Faith are one of the endgame activities of Last Epoch. The more difficult the zones, the more rewards you can get. The system for this activity is infinite, meaning players can revisit the same maps and earn items. However, these versions of the maps will be much stronger and more difficult. The map is called an Echo and each has its own objective and completion reward.
Completing an Echo will unlock a new and more difficult one, this will create a complex network of maps known as an Echo Web. There is a type of special node in the web called the Shade of Orobyss, which allows you to reset the web. Doing so will increase the difficulty of the maps with Corruption points. Alongside the difficulty, the loot will also become increasingly that of ‘rare’ items. This is the core mechanic of the Monoliths of Fate. There are 10 Monoliths in the game and each has its own unique Echo Web.
List of Monoliths
The Monoliths have their own level requirement which the player needs to meet before entering. Each Monolith unlocks Quest Echoes which unlock more Monoliths in the web you are currently playing in. How To Unlock The Monoliths of Fate
The Monoliths of Fate can be accessed after you reach the island in The End of Time. The first monolith will be near the eastern side of the island. You can find the teleporter to the Monolith near the NPC named Agony. Keep in mind the first Monolith requires a minimum level of 58, so it is best to attempt these after completing the main story.
You can unlock Quest Echoes as you complete each Echo, which we mentioned earlier. Completing the last three Monoliths, which are level 90, will unlock the Empowered Timelines. These are level 100 versions of the previous ones and reward you with unique item drops that you cannot guarantee anywhere else. This means if you are looking to earn a unique piece of body armor, you should aim for the Blood, Frost, and Death Empowered Monolith. The others will have these items specifically.
