Source of Inspiration is a major questline for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s DLC, Brushes with Death. In the second main quest from the DLC, protagonist Henry of Skalitz is asked to find the Shrine of the Pagan god Veles by the painter Voyta at the Trosky Castle, for a commission painting. This article will guide players on how to find the shrine’s location and complete the quest.

How To Find Kvyetoslava & Her Valerian Flowers In KCD 2

Kvyetoslava is the woman who will give Henry the location of the Veles’ shrine. She stays by the Vidlak Pond, west of Tachov. You can fast travel to the point directly or ride there on a horse.

Once players talk to the NPC, Henry will be given a series of tasks by Kvyetoslava to progress the mission. One of the first missions is to gather five Valerian flowers. These flowers are Kvyetoslava’s favorite, and can be found on forest roads, peat bogs, and swamps. I found the north side of Vidlak Pond as the best place to quickly get the required number of flowers.

Once you have gathered the flowers, Kvyetoslava will have another task ready for you: to fix her dress. You can go about this in two ways:

    • Visit any tailor on the map to fix the dress. You can identify the tailors on your map with the scissors icon.
    • Select the Tailor’s Kit from the inventory, and then select Kvyetoslava’s dress until it is 100%.

Reciting a Poem in Source of Inspiration Quest

After Kvyetoslava has put on the dress, she will ask Henry for one last task. This time, you have to recite her a poem. Henry will recite to her a poem that he has written himself. When he starts reciting, go for the special options. You can pass the skill checks with a higher speech level. Once you have passed the skill checks, Kvyetoslava will tell you if she is satisfied with your results and will give you the location of the Veles’ shrine.

Finding the Shrine Locations for Veles and Bringing Voyta

Kvyetoslava will give you three possible locations of the shrine, out of which only one is correct. Here is the list of all three shrine locations:

    • The first location is a rocky hill between the ponds west of Zhelejov, and is not the correct shrine location
    • The second location can be found by the water stream behind Nebakov Fortress. Henry will recognize the statue, however, he will say the dialogue confirming it is also the incorrect location for the shrine.
    • The third and final location is situated in the river tributary of the Lower Semine Pond. You can go to this area directly as well without investigating the other two. Once you have found the great stone head, Henry will confirm the location of the shrine.
    • You can also investigate the bodies lying on the ground, which will update the quest log.

Henry can bring Voyta to the location once the shrine of the Pagan god is discovered. Before that, he has to take care of the bandit camp nearby. After that, players can head straight to Voyta in Trosky Castle and talk to him. After initiating a dialogue, the game will give players the option to travel to the shrine with him.

In doing so, Voyta will arrive at the shrine with Henry, where players can admire his work.
